Your online store is a scam. I purchased the plans but I am still waiting to receive an email with the file. Why is it not instant like everything else that's digital? I don't have all week to send emails back and forth to chase up my order.
My wife was going to buy outdoor furniture and I told her not to cause I think I can make what she wants for much cheaper. I purchased the 5 pack outdoor furniture with the Memorial Day coupon and here I am making this. Thanks
Hey there Matt! Bought your plans last Friday, bought lumber and did the build on Saturday, stained on Sunday. Built this for my daughter and she loves it. Had enough scrap left over to make a matching table. Thanks!
After watching this video I bought the plans.and built this project. I never would have tried to build this before watching your video. From one retired LEO to another, thank you for your service and thank you for doing these videos. Keep up the good work
I really appreciate that you build this whole thing with tools any DIY woodworker has. A lot of videos are like use this thousand dollar specialty tool, but really a pocket hole tool is the only thing I have to go get (we actually have the same miter saw as the video).
Just finished the build part of this project. Still need to stain it, but mostly done. It was my first woodworking project and I did it with no help other than this video and your plans. Thanks. I learned a lot from this project.
@@731Woodworks can you make a video about building a flat file. I collect posters and have been wanting a wooden flat file for a long time, so I would love to build my own, but there’s not really any good videos on UA-cam about building one. Thanks.
Nice! Perfect AS IS! Personally, I would add adjustable back angles PLUS ability to lay back down with fold out legs to lay out flat level with seat to sleep under the stars!
Looks good. Get you sum of those nail furniture feet that are plastic. It will keep the feet off the deck about 1/8-1/4” so the legs don’t rot out too soon. That’s what I did with my outdoor sectional and 6yrs later on concrete going good.
I just made these last fall but as a 2 pc. so it was less of a "beast" to lift/move. HOWEVER, one of the arm rests has completely come off from the legs!! I did use outdoor glue & pocket-held it together! We barely and temporarily moved it just so we could power wash our patio!! So although i didn't want to see screw holes from the top, I had no choice but to secure arms from the top into the legs at an angle.
Matt I love your stuff. I love to build outdoor stuff too and seeing this inspires me to get out there and build something new. 2 things I do a little different are one I use the glue from the green bottle of the brand you used. The blue glue has failed when I grabbed the wrong bottle on a planter build I did last year. That did get a ton of water, admittedly. The other thing I try to do is incorporate a dado or rabbet to support horizontal structures rather than rely on the sheer strength of the screws. I guess it's more out of fear of something happening than actual experience. Lots of good family time ahead on that though.
Good on mate, that was great, I was looking for a video with a design with angle seats and I found the perfect one, strong and beautiful, the best part of the video was using Australian timber oil, lol. From Sydney thanks for your time and cheers.
Brother, I love this project! I don't know what it is about it, but every part looks so good, from the design to the color to the cushions... to notch!
The one i built for my customer was a 7° angle guess its all in the persons preference, nice build Matt, good to have muscle around to help with big builds
I bought the plans for this the other day after seeing this video. Am looking forward to customizing it to our space. Thanks for posting....and thanks for the great interaction so far since I purchased. It is easy to tell you care about your business and have put in the time to shaping it to your, and Mrs. 731, personality. PS Got an email today from you with a coupon code for my next purchase, thanks for that too! Keep on building!
This is a great build especially when to good out to look for deck furniture and see the price. You know you are paying top dollar for a product you will not get a long life. This out furniture looks good and will last if you seal it and store is properly.
Nice job! (and video). Thank you for including the mistakes and how they were solved. It is part of the learning process for all of us and help us remember not to make them in the future. Also, beautiful stain! I love how the sunlight shines on it.
Howdy Mr. 731... Though I've been watching 👀 ya for over a year now and knew about this video, I hadn't watched it til now. 😅 I know you got better cameras and lighting n stuff now, but tbh, I liked the video quality of "this" video. It just seemed more crisp and "HD" like. I'm chiming in for this purpose....Your sprayer. I've got the exact same one very much so because of you, used your link, love that sprayer and been using it for, I dunno, a year I guess. With that being said, I know your always looking for video ideas. I have seen multiple videos on the "Critter" sprayer. It costs about half as much if I remember correctly and it uses Mason jars to hold the stain or lacquer etc. It's HVLP (I think) and can be run off a regular pancake compressor instead of a 50 gallon minimum, which is "required" for other HVLP sprayers. The benefits of the Critter is that, it uses common mason jars instead of plastic containers. Though the Homeright is FANTASTIC, it only comes with the one container of which, needs cleaning after use. Mason jars however, you can by individually, by the 6 pack or by the dozen for less than $20 bucks at the Walmart. So, you can pour in some stain. Use what ya need and then, when your done, just remove the jar and screw on the lid. Label and put on the shelf to be used later. No cleaning other than the sprayer. And, because it can be used with a simple pancake compressor, it's more accessible and affordable to most woodworkers. Since your channel is geared towards the beginner woodworkers as well as TOOLS, give the Critter a spotlight video review. I don't own one (yet) but would love to see ya do a review on it.
End grain resting on the ground can wick rain and rot quickly, I have added a small piece of sacrificial wood on the bottom of the legs with face grain turned on the ground.
Loved the video...Have you ever considered building a 24 inch deep elevated bed with legs as high as the sectional around the trunk of a tree? Especially for shade plants and veggies....the tree stands in the center and shades the planter
Great bench I'm going to build one but I think I am going to attach the back rest to the frame in the back and cut the 1x6 to go between them so if I do need to replace the top 1x6 I don't have to take the back rest off.

Oh man!!!! There’s that awesome GREEN DOOR!!! You can’t deny it’s beauty!!! Can you hear the door Mrs. 731? “ I am green door, hear me roar!” Lol!!!
lol 👊

Green door forever!
I love that you don't edit out but actually include your screw ups, because I do that stuff all the time. love this unit. May build for my deck.
thank you 👊
I am definitely building this sectional. It will look great on my new paver patio.
Some people want a quick video, but as a wood worker myself I love the detail you explained. Keep up the good work.
Thank you

me too
Thanks for coming
Perfect timing. I just bought the lumber for your Modern Outdoor Sectional.
What an awesome build! I love that you give all the measurements as you work, it helps a lot for those of us who are still learning furniture sizes.
Thanks
I am building this right now. Been an adventure.
Those new clamps are really helping out.
For sure!
Nice!

Awesome addition to any deck
just what I was looking for, I just finished my deck and pergola and this will sit within my pergola area 8' x 8'....thank you!
Perfect!

thanks

That thing turned out awesome, brother! That style of bench would match my deck area perfectly!

Yep 🤣
Back the blue brother! Well done
i like the simplicity of this bench, i would miter the slats to meet at a 45 in that corner.
Buying the plans now and will be building one of these soon (once the weather gets a little better here).
Nice work, Pocket Hole King!

like the furniture, see your using the new pocket hole jig awsome, bet it beats the K jig.
Thanks
Great weekend project!
Super built great job
Thank you very much!
I make ones very similar to this in the UK. With timber prices sky high it costs about £200 in timber!
Best one I have seen so far. And I have seen plenty!
Love it. Going to make this for my parents.
awesome
Nice design.
WOW, great job
Glad you liked it!
Looks great Matt!!
