Yes all of the things I make from polymer clay are baked before putting on something. All clay is baked carefully at 100 degrees for 15-20 mins in an electric oven, but this very much does depend on what I am making, how thick or delicate it is and most of all I check every 5 mins to make sure it doesn't burn... white/translucent can burn quickly as does any thin pieces. 😁 you can re bake polymer clay if it's not hard once cooled and you can add soft clay to hard clay and re bake too 😁
