Awesome Video On Coils. Making Washers, Insulating the 1018 IRON CORE With packing Tape, Some people also use plumbers Teflon Tape. Some use an expensive Kryptonite tape. Packing Tape is Brilliant. If you use Teflon you have to make sure it is applied in the direction you wind coils. The Varnish is Old School I Love It ! Copper wire typically 24 gauge. Some use insulated wire some plain. Whats up with them gaps though...i see some misfireing..some studdering....or my eys are playing tricks with the camera angle.....but it surly looks like abot 3 gaps in that final wrap....

what is that material you brushed on to the coils as you were winding? what is it used for? and how often should you apply it while winding the coils?

не совсем понял о чем речь,оправка котороой вырезаются шайбы с листа -сам делал,оправка на которой точу шайбы-тоже сам делал.))

that is the lacquer shining making it look like a gap.
