for real, I would watch the shit out of a climbing series where Paul just goes up repeating boulders and chatting with the first ascentonists in different areas.
As an avid climber I love hearing these stories . My dad ( also 62) was also a pioneer but in Trad and in South Afric and has put up probably over 1000 pitches in and around SA and is still going strong . I'm still scared to go try his climbs ( even the 5.11D's/ 7a's that he put up. ) I'm immensely proud of him that he's done so much. I just talked to him moments ago about his day repeating a 5.b and trying harder on a 5.12D that he wants me to go FA on Trad. Point is he's given so much for climbing but is so humble about it and still trys despite not being as strong as he used.
Hey Paul! Hope the recovery's going well. Any thoughts on the new Shaman lace vs the Oracle? I need a new all-rounder and I've been looking at both... thanks!
@@thesii213 heel feels more secure. Toe box feels the same. Only downside is there is a little bit less toe hook rubber. But the upside is the more laces allows for a better fitting shoe. Both shoes are amazing so you can’t go wrong w either!
"I put my gloves inside my beanie, ... cause i wanted a helmet" is the most bouldering thing I have ever heard!
Absolutely love this
This is my new favorite video on your channel! Hearing John’s stories and then watching you repeat history was so cool to watch

Rad. The Verm is such a character. Got to hang with him for a day in the Tanks a few years back and it was epic.
Overhanging bouldering always feels like gravity is twice as strong its such a mind fuc*
So sick seeing you and Jeremy climbing with the legend, Verm! Great video as always!!
Epic video. It’s cool to see these bits of climbing history. I was so engrossed in the dialogue and climbing that the vid seemed like 1 min. Love it.
Great video. Thanks for posting it!
Awesome video! Old guys rule!🤘😁🤘
That must have been quite an adventure back in the days of vertical climbing and hardly any climbing walls. Looks long, awesome and freaking hard.
Awesome.. that’s the dream!
hueco is incredible
Just a little ironic that this video comes out when Patagonia is campaigning to save Oak Creek Canyon
