Reasons why people do not like Eubank Jr:
1. Talks about running through top elite boxers yet continues to fight domestic level opposition.
2. The way in which he spoke to his trainer in the Saunders fight and his whole approach to training and not needing anybody to teach him about boxing comes across as arrogant and disrespectful.
3. His old man and his theatrics
4. The Nick Blackwell saga
5. A distinct lack of humility.
Personally, I don't know the guy so I'm not going to sit here and say I don't like him as a person. However, I'm not a fan of his in the boxing world due to the way he comes across.It has to be added that I still respect his abilities and what he brings in the ring.

He may be Deluded sometimes. but no one can deny he is a very exciting fighter. He has the speed and power. People LOVE to hate him but still LOVE to watch him fight.
Loving the coverage this week - Eubank Jr, Ward, Lewis, Eubank Sr - all compelling interviews within two days of each other. Top work IFL (and ITV for making it happen).
Regarding the PPV - I'll be buying this card. After all, I have to pay to watch all boxing on Sky, I have to pay to watch all boxing on Boxnation and I'll be paying to watch a good night's boxing on ITV Box Office this weekend (and have absolutely no qualms about it). Anyone trying to differentiate between the three broadcasters needs to take a step back and realise no boxing is free these days - the purses involved are just too large.
Pay your £10, support the boxers and support this new platform. Competition between broadcasters is a very healthy thing for the sport, and terrestrial exposure for boxing is great for absolutely everyone involved in it (not just the Eubanks).

I thought Jnr came across really well in that interview. Nice to hear him talking a bit more loosely with his guard down. Though i'm still not sure what he's going to do if he wins this title. He says he's gunning for people a middleweight and super, but you can only hold a title at one weight i do believe? Is he going to keep winning the belts to then relinquish them by yo-yo-ing up and down in middle and super?

That's the best interview I've seen of him. Speaks a lot of sense, even on the GGG thing. Lots of pundits have said as well that GGG hasn't fought anyone yet. Looking forward to seeing Chris over the next 5/10 years.

This is one of his better interviews, a lot of truth here. Don't just dislike the video because it's Eubank Jr, actually listen to what he's saying and try to disagree, it's pretty hard to do.

I don't know why people dislike eubank. he seems to be a nice fella and a great boxer. And he British. Get behind him everyone.
To be fair Jr is a superb self-publicist, and he does understand the game (to a degree), I mean he basically talked himself into an opportunity with GGG (despite not signing) and I think the PPV does better than people expect. The annoyance people have generally I think is that he has fought mostly completely out-gunned opponents (and Quinlan is another of those) and despite stating he wants title fights turned down a shot at Jacobs Reg-WBA strap, a GGG showdown for the unified MW titles and couldn't agree anything with Saunders for the WBO strap - so he has had chances to turn into the superstar he thinks he should be. I still don't get, and will never get, why someone so confident about beating GGG wouldnt take the fight - I mean if he did come true on his promise he would have been a global superstar, he may as well have taken the fight for £1, the rewards would have been so great after that the purse would have been immaterial (its like turning down a chance to be the Striker at Barcelona because it paid £90k a week, not £120k, make it there and you are an earning machine for life). However, best of luck for Saturday Chris.

I agree with him in the parts where he said British people don't want others to succeed. The majority of people are way too critical of every single homegrown athlete, they like seeing people fail. it happens all the time. Wayne Rooney, Anthony Joshua, etc if these athletes were from a different country we would rave about them!
