  • ( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2019 Mazda6 is a fun, sporty sedan thanks to its turbocharged engine with 310 lb-ft of torque. The Nissan Altima is more comfortable and more secure, thanks to the new model's available all-wheel drive system. But which is the best one to buy?

    Mazda 6 hands down! Better engine, much better interiors and a conventional automatic transmission. The Nissan looks great but that CVT... it’s horrible. And I personally don’t care about ADAS. I wish the Mazda would have kept the lovely 6 speed manual.

    I actually went from a Nissan Altima to a Mazda6 back in May and LOVE my Mazda, so I’m in the Mazda camp. I agree with you that the Mazda6 is better in almost every way, but this video isn’t very fair. You compared the top tier Mazda6 against a step down from the top tier Altima, that’s not a fair comparison. The Platinum Altima has 19” wheels that looks very nice. Also the Altima has 188hp and 184 lb/ft of torque. The numbers you quoted are last model years numbers. Also the Mazda has 250hp on premium fuel, 227 on regular. I would ALWAYS choose a Mazda6 or pretty much any Mazda for that matter over a Nissan, but I find this video to be a bit too biased when it didn’t even have to be.

    Of these, Mazda for sure. When I bought mine in mid-level trim, Mazda had far better reliability ratings than the Nissan line, is the sportier drive, plus I could get it with a manual. Size is perfect for me and my family with only one of us over 6' and haven't found the trunk size to be lacking in every day use. It's handled N.E. snowy weather just fine as well, but for Colorado, would definitely pick up an extra set of blizzaks for winter use.

    Time for the rabbit to be brave here: I would choose the Nissan! Who buys mid-sized sedans? A driving enthusiast? HELL NO! They turn to near-luxury, luxury or muscle cars for their Adrenelin rush.
    Wait! A mid-sized (though closer to full-size by today's standards) sedan with all-wheel-drive, more rear seat headroom, more trunk space, a bigger display screen AND better fuel mileage for under $34,000? Practicality and value are the ticket here! True, it has a CVT, and not that one like Toyota's with its planetary first gear, and I despise CVTs as a rule! But with everything else it offers over the Mazda, and at a lower price, this is actually a no brainer win, if you're talking about family sedans. Family = Budget!
    At $37,000, and with less content, Mazda is clearly hoping it's buyers are those who want "near luxury" at a more reasonable price. An admirable sentiment, but one that puts it above the Nissan's league and below an Infinity; or a niche that not a whole lot of people were even curious about; as reflected in its sales.
    Eat your carrots, Nathan! 🐰

Looking at other vehicles that have it incorporated into the dash, not sticking out like a sore thumb, makes the vehicle look proper and professional. • @shitloveaduck
    @shitloveaduck 5 років тому +1

    Hey! For those who wish the cars were apples to apples. Move up to Canada! You can only get the AWD Nissan. They don’t have a fwd and, subsequently, no turbo version! The executives at Nissan must believe the rumours thatCanada is covered in snow year round!! Putzs!
    The comparison is VERY relevant here! Hahaha. I wouldn’t buy either at this point, because my wife has a Ford Fusion Sport AWD 2,7 EcoBoost. Fun car. I am getting used to it with the dial for a shifter and the low height compared to the trucks I drive all the time. It only has 10,000 km (6200 miles) so far but no issues and much better on fuel than I expected.
    There are a lot of choices available in this class. I have no idea which model/brand I would like. My wife liked the Fusion AWD, I steered her towards the sport. That was the extent of my choice in the purchase process. She never drives it because she likes the familiarity of her 2007 Hyundai Tucson AWD V6. It has been bulletproof over the 70,000 miles (108,000 km). It is comfortable. That’s all,,,,,, hahaha. Should have traded it in, dang it.
