How to speed model in Houdini tutorial

- Just a short tutorial on how to model quickly in Houdini, definitely not the best way to model, just a fast way to get content out as quickly as possible.

Use the radial menu's. That alone will speed up your modeling allot. Create your own if you find the default ones not to your liking.

Have you used the Modeler 2021 plugin? If so do you find it useful? Seems like it would fit well into what you’re doing here.
You're absolutely right, it would fit well to what I'm doing!
However I have not tried it, I probably will one day soon!, plugins are for sure good to use but also can be a rabbit hole, there's always a way to do something better or faster but the whole process of installing plugins and learning how to use them is an investment as-well and you could get stuck in plugin wonderland while no work is really getting done as you test an infinite amount of plugins.
Also Houdini clean lets me learn and find problems to solve in Houdini itself.
But sometimes I'm just too stubborn and wait too long to use a plugin that would really help me, this could be that situation as-well ;)
If this was a project for a client I would get plugins in an instant to help speed it up.

It is would be better to create your pie menu, and model directly in the viewport,
I want more... but with a better mic would be awesome
how did you paint the node by default edit
Press c to bring up the color palette, then with any node selected hold 'ctrl' and click on a color, it will make it that color by default forever.
