Thank you so much for watching this video and supporting my channel - it truly means the world to me 💕
I love the kelp with the different weave structures. It is so exciting to be challenged with few choices. It streches your creativity. You are an inspiration to me.
That means so much to me, thank you!! 🥹❤️
I love your explanation of jacquard, so cool. You were able to capture values with your choice of weaves and it boggles the mind.
The vest from Serbia is gorgious...just so adorable .
The store looks so good n i love the maximalist style
I LOVE your classes and your school. Oh to be in textiles!
Myocelium duckie is going to be fabulous! I thought of you the other day because of this. There’s a bio design center in the Basque Country (near Bilbao) offering residencies to explore weaving and bio textiles. I’m wondering if there are finishing techniques possible to make mushroom designed items more beautiful
Always happy to see a new video!
I just love your videos and your personality, so fun learning with you!
Oh my goodness, the jacquard design process was so cool to see!
Love the lilypads! Very cute. The dye mixing you did to get the orange was fun -- all the color swatches on the paper together reminded me vividly of a very put-together, curated living room with earthier tones and abstract blobs of orange color printed on the throw pillows. Maybe with that murky yellow-green as the couch color, even. Honestly I'm just impressed at how just a little bit of your creative power conjured a whole magazine spread in my mind.
im so happy you posted today!! i was bingeing your vlogs while i knitted today
Ahh that makes me so happy! 🥹
I love how the jacquard is coming along. It's so funny--when you first started talking about it in this video, I thought that the colorful version would make beautiful curtains, and the tone-on-tone jacquard great accent pillows. And then you started talking pillows! A lot of good energy this week; I hope that is reflective of how you are enjoying the semester. :)
OMG somehow I missed last week’s video I think??? I’ll go back to that one after this LOL but wow you have some really exciting projects going already this semester!!! If you haven’t talked about it before I think it would be so cool to hear more about your journey from bio to design :~)
Thanks for the explanation about how jacquard works, and your kelp pattern looks wonderful. Do you ever listen to the Fruity Knitting podcast on UA-cam? Her channel has wonderful interviews of knitwear designers, knitting experts from around the world, different knitting traditions, wool festivals, shepherdesses. I bet you would love it. I just finished the episode with Meg Swanson, the daughter of Elizabeth Zimmerman who was an incredible influencer on knitting on in the USA, she invented? popularized i-cord binding and introduced the mobious cowl. But you probably have already learned about her in your knitting classes at FIT. Really fun listen. Love the knitted vest you got in Serbia too. Have a great week, hugs to you and Ryan.
Are you going to get a chance to go on the knitting machines as you wanted to.hope you guys get a student discount at Blicks as you must be keeping them in building .love the jacquard description it now makes a lot of sense. Keep up the good work
Really great watching your progress. The Kelp design is so sophisticated! Is there a program one can buy for the weaving design, ot looks to be Excel based. See you next week. 😊👍👍👍
Thank you so much! 🥹❤️ The programs are called Texcelle and NedGraphics, unfortunately I don’t know if they are available for purchase outside of a company/school setting 🥺
@@AndreaAlexander thanks. I could probably just use Excel by coloring in the blocks. I'll have to experiment. 😊
