Thanks for the vid. Always wanted to do a trip like this from Niantic/Mystic area. Good shot of the rollers on the last shots!
Two suggestions -sail with a jib (you'll have better speed and control) and please install a boom vang -one bad shift/goosewing jibe and you are toast

Yes learned a lot on this trip. Boom got hung up on rear stay twice!

ok, 7 knots in a 16ft boat is theoritically impossible, just like my california ability to spell, but you sold me on this boat.....

It's 19' and according to my phone I've gone 11 knots in it. Definitely faster than my 23'.
