I worked at a Chinese restaurant for 7 years. I ate a lot of different Chinese dishes. I can tell you that "wok hay" makes such a difference in the taste of the food.
Especially fried rice and lo mein
You know the food is good when you hear native speaking folks in the background. That request for more sear was a very nice gesture by the chef. How does this place compare to SK??

Great video! I'm on team Danny when it comes to cold weather. You can always put on more clothes, and Danny does have a collection of jackets and vests(that I haven't seen in a while) to make his blue St. John's Bay polo shirts stand out more! The food looked delicious! The seafood chow mein had lots of ingredients and looked huge! Thank you Mr. Steve for the Cantonese lesson for more wok hay. It never crossed my mind to tell them to make it "more dry". The watch looks nice! I'll have to watch the other video.
the vests are all gone.. the puffy ones from costco, (32 degree) because I moved and didnt have space for luggage... I thought the costcos here would sell them but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO... ughhhhhhh

I worked in Chinese restaurants for nearly two decades and I have learned never to send food back to the kitchen.
Danny the Medic is pretty brave sending that chow fun back! You never know what some chefs might send back! He smothered Steve in those veggies! lol!😂👍
"Good for eyes" per Steve wearing his glasses and Danny is not. Is my eyes, right? hot tea and only tap water at the end. This is why Danny drink water a lot, not the hot weather but added salt.
I always love when you have guests, today it was Mr. Steve! The second beef chow fun does look better than when it came to the table the first time. Wow! that bill at the end was so reasonable.
Steve, did Danny ask for soy sauce at the end? Danny likes his food a bit on the salty side..

After the first five mouthfuls of the first chow fun dish you had that hmmm look each time to figure if it had enough wok hei it didn't but after the refry you gave an almost instant approval and yes the refry looked much better.

Another one of my “go to” spots for Cantonese food! Taste does certain foods better than SK and vice versa. But you can’t go wrong with either place! Stay cool DTM!
Taste is more upper scale than SK. But still reasonably priced.

it has oil, but also the lighting style. like how they try to rip you off with diamond sales, with the case interior with many many bulbs

One of the bad things I hated living in Vegas was the 4 months of intense heat. Food looks very good and traditional, thx for the review.

I didn't realize the beef chow fun dish needed improvement until I saw the revised plate. You were so right..I shouldn't have quietly doubted in my head. So much better & ideal ratio of beef to noodle. It looked like it had a grilled, perhaps smokey flavor which I tend to like with similar dishes & Mongolian barbecue style plates. Nice looking place & generous portions...👍
