@@Typhoon_Lex They could possibly do DAO/DAA and DA2 as they were all on the same engine (and were all released pretty much together (2009 DAO, 2010 DAA, and 2011 DA2). However, DAI is Frosty. Likely there won't be a full trilogy remaster (maybe well after DA4's release they could do something to polish DAI, but who knows)? I'd be real happy to get DAO and DA2 upgraded for now! Give me an HD 4K res remake of Alistair and I'd be in heaven... LOL!! 😍 😂
Also, I am happy with my modded PT... My editing was a bit choppy in the beginning as I was learning... and I had no mic at that time to do any VA for my OC (I did remedy that in my modded DAA PT though). I used mods to fix bugs in quests, added a lot more to the romance, and I personally redesigned a lot of the NPCs in the DAO Toolkit (that was actually a lot of fun)! Certain NPCs I only did minor tweaks to, b/c of the pre-rendered cut-scenes, but all in all, I had a great time on it. I hope others will enjoy it too. 😊

Actually, one of the best things DAI has introduced RP-wise by far.
Not only allows more flexibility by not pigeonholing a "healing mage" into the group (especially one you despise as a person), but adds a layer of immersion, which could be enhanced further by turning one the trial making normal hp potions useless.
Healing magic in general is fine, but only if it takes time and, by extension, a potion that enhance natural regeneration of the body is sensical too.
...unless you like to immerse yourself in a comedy of chopping off an arm only for a single spell to grow it back up in under a second, of course.

    • @kraziiXIII

DAI is a fun play! The combat is fun but I have only played as a mage so far.
The issue is that it has such large areas to explore and companion dialogue is only triggered once every fifteen minutes and cannot be triggered while on a horse. My main issue with DAI has never been the combat but how much content is locked due to real world time having to pass. And as someone who has 20 pre-planned Inquisitors and is a wannabe fanfic writer getting that dialogue to trigger is straight up painful unless you use mods and even then it's a nightmare.
On an easy or normal difficulty all of the combat is more than doable even for someone like me who sucks at games and honestly easy even if you play as a mage or even have a whole mage party. I
t's worth trying out on a friends PC or console. I played it on PC so I can't vouch for how console players feel but I have heard the abilities wheel/selector is not the most user friendly, so PC seems to be the best way to go. It also came out ages ago so if you have a decent computer from like after 2015, it'll play pretty well.
It's definitely worth playing but it is toned down in a lot of ways in comparison to DAO and DA2 when it comes to how heavy the plotline is until you hit the epilogue DLCs which amp up the story and the stakes by 50000%.
