Before Chevreuse released the only team I ever even used XL in on my main account was Dehya Mono Pyro, because Dehya needed it lol. There are so many characters available on a normal account that no one character is necessary to use. But Polearms Only is a challenge that is far more limited, and C4 XL is an important part of many strong teams within that context.

If its Shenhe, I never even talked about her base attack except in the context of doing some napkin maths about the value of atk% from noblesse to her and the team vs the atk% from 2pc combos. The value you get from atk% is based on your base attack, which is what the atk% is actually multiplying

Especially how you broke down what is a priority, what isn't, and how artifacts may be good for individual characters but not always for what you need them to do in their role. Hopefully Kekvin will get that c4 Xiangling!
I cut out my reasoning for that. Basically, I have found a low refine Fav on YunJin is bad enough at proccing fav consistently that it makes more sense to prioritize as much ER as possible. With R1 Fav even with a crit rate circlet and about 50% crit rate yun jin is annoying to get fav procs on (and then often requires doing NAs to proc, wasting some of her buff and field time) due to her normal use case only hitting one enemy fairly often. Point being, it makes more sense in my mind to have an easier build that just uses Prototype Starglitter instead of favge. Then in the worst case scenario you change to an ER timepiece with def% substats if need be. Vs needing a crit rate circlet for favge that would still want a bunch of ER in substats and still be inconsistent with R1 and yunjin only hitting once I absolutely wouldve kept that timepiece if it had gotten one ER roll though.

16:10 for anyone reading this: if you have c0 hu tao, then shime is kind of a bad idea because her burst becomes much more important-dash cancelling is kinda impossible at c0 (you have NO stamina) and jump cancelling has no i-frames, so she'll rely on her burst and shields/heals to not die. if you have zhongli (as w this acc) then you can be okay, especially if you have a backup one-tap healer (ie jean, barb, mika, charlotte, etc) for the heavier hitting abyss chambers
Good callout, though on Polearms Only specifically is by far still her best option because you are not doing vape Hu Tao, so its much much better than crimson (though I also will be testing Chev with Hu Tao on MH soon)

I dont necessarily think his way of playing Genshin is that disconnected from how many people experience the game though. If you dont get mentally invested in the game it can be hard to even gain an intuitive understanding of all the random nuances

Chev does like the energy (she doesnt even have enough to consistently burst right now), but yeah it would be a good option on Thoma. I probably couldve swapped Fav to Chev and Thoma on that weapon, though I dont recall if Chev had any crit rate in substats. On Candace I think prototype (or fav of course) is better because building her for HP at low constellations barely matters over her energy needs as a solo hydro

Yeah I need to get better at trying to be more enthusiastic, people perceive monotone as “negative” when its just me speaking like a normal person most of the time, far as I can tell. Other than when I was struggling in abyss a bit I was never in a bad mood at all this video lol. Ultimately, I barely care if someone has more subscribers than me, it does not matter. I just want to try to make the content I think is worth making, and I want to get better at making it. This does mean I want to be more enthusiastic, but I do not like being disingenuous in my communication so it always feels inherently wrong to force myself to do so. Yeah I was mostly just being playful in regard to his constellations. Ultimately he has done less wishing and has been more unlucky, which functionally just means his account is lower invested compared to mine. (C4 Xiangling is the easiest C4 in the game to purposefully get though and the only excuse for that is he didnt realize how important it would be and never planned on getting it purposefully)

Yeah, I dont think hes bought as many welkins as I have either, which after a year and half can make a meaningful difference (I havent bought welkins on my account for that full year and a half though, and fwiw I only topped up specifically to get C6 Candace on Polearms Only, and then my brother gifted me a topup as a bday present last year for C1 Hu Tao). I didnt go in depth into constellations all that much since its not something that can easily “fix” the account, but I mention it as a point of comparison because it is the most obvious difference between our two accounts. C4 Xiangling was something he shouldve been able to get though, as its one of the easiest C4s in the game to intentionally get after a year of play. 2 shop XLs plus one from abyss is C2, meaning he only had to pull two XLs on a banner, which makes XL C4 after a year of play equivalent difficulty to acquire as most C1 four stars are as long as you dont waste starglitter (like Kekvin did lol)

He’ll get her sooner or later. 7 wishes is probably not much and probably just seven 3 star weapons *OR* it’s seven wishes short on getting your favorite character before the banner ends. 😬 So you gotta decide what’s your priority and his priority is getting the 5-stars then this is ultimately his decision we should respect. 😅
its not the same situation though, its a content challenge account you wont be wishing for your favourite character. you’re wishing ti make your account work with the limited characters available, meaninf you should be taking the risk to pull for 4* characters on 5* banners you cant use because its your only way. xiangling is the easiest one to get cons for so thats why theres more emphasis on the fact she wasnt invested in. and her cons make her a cracked unit so there should be more incentive LOL thinking his method isn’t logical isn’t disrespectful, again its a challenge so being optimal is a normal thing to focus on. there are limited 5* polearms and most dont synergise the best so 4* are pretty high priority. esp as easy as xl hes not bad for not doing it, this is an account review the whole point is feedback snd criticism. if he were just playing for only fun and wishing 5* polearms he wouldnt have asked the most practical focused challenge channel to review him
it feels easy when you do it but when I try I use my first character and see that is took me 10 secs to use his E burst and when I switch to my dps I see that 20secs have passed when I switch off him the first minute have already passed

i'm not even playing a polearm only account but i like Raiden, thoma, chevreuse and cyno together, just use cyno and raiden as duo, raiden and double electro is enough to shorten cyno's onfield time to only do two of his special E triggers and switch, other teams don't allow him to shorten his onfield time because of energy issues
The main issue with doing that is that if Im using Raiden and Chev together, it makes more sense to use Raiden built as the main on field dmg dealer in my experience (and yes I am talking before I activated Raidens constellations it felt this way still). Not mention not having XL in the team would be a bit rough imo, so all in all I am only interesting in Cyno/Chev without Raiden, so Im working on fixing his ER needs so he feels good without an electro teammate

I love that you’re trying to help people but I feel you’re very harsh in the way you give advice. Ive seen a few of your videos and you’re very degrading in the way you “fix accounts”. I personally have been discouraged because I feel like I’ve invested so much into this game just to see a video telling me my xiangling is ass because I don’t have this specific artifact set or I don’t have enough weapons leveled. Love what you’re trying to do but please chill out.
You do realize this was specifically focused on a polearm only account, right? And I have a very successful polearm only account of my own, wherein I know the solution is hyperinvesting. Kekvin will never be successful without optimizing his builds as much as possible. Its a polearm only account-when you restrict yourself into unoptimal situations like only specific niche character choices that is where the need to hyperinvest can arise. Thats how this game is made. My XL on my main account is very meh, and I rarely use her. But the context of a polearm only account limits options to a degree that things need to be evaluated differently, especially when evaluating how annoying it can be to use XL without Bennett. Dont equivocate different accounts states to yours, especially challenge accounts that ignore all but one weapon type lol Out of the polearm context, I specifically try to have the focus of the account fixing stuff be oriented around a different goal for different accounts. Im not equivocating one account to another, Im looking for possible paths to success. Which depends on the goal of the player. If you think Ive been degrading when all I really do is mention the numerous possibilities available most of the time, while also having a back and forth conversation with the individuals whose account Im fixing, I dunno what to tell you lol. Im not telling YOU that you need to build XL or level more weapons, it all depends on the other numerous factors about the state of your account and what your goal is. My focus for the AR46 video I made recently was just to get some more options for OW utility and enough to clear floor 8 of abyss. My focus for the AR60 video was 36 starring. These are very different accounts with very different goals relative to their current investment level. All the videos are meant to be is an exploration of my thought processes based on game knowledge that I have. And when it comes to achieving the goal of “fixing” an account, yeah, strong characters and good artifacts being available can help a lot in finding a path to success. Duh. Its why I generally check to see if the strong four stars are built or not, as it vastly increases the number of options you may have to deal with situations. So I dunno what to tell you if you think Im being an asshole. My presumption is you are taking this specific video out of context and havent actually watched many of my other videos since I barely even do more than mention/check XL in most of them lol. Half the time its just getting enough ER on characters to make them usable…

in certain contexts when something is so good its common to use traditionally negative words to describe just how immensely good it is. e.g this time piece is so good its absurd (disgusting/insane/outrageous). its pretty common in english and is similar to the expression “too good”, of course if something is very good you’d still want it but too good should mean its too much and yet, its technically a positive thing!

I'm confused as to why Rightful Reward is on Chevreuse and not someone who would prefer the energy like Thoma or Candace
Chev does like the energy (she doesnt even have enough to consistently burst right now), but yeah it would be a good option on Thoma. I probably couldve swapped Fav to Chev and Thoma on that weapon, though I dont recall if Chev had any crit rate in substats.
On Candace I think prototype (or fav of course) is better because building her for HP at low constellations barely matters over her energy needs as a solo hydro
So you commented on one stream that Kekvin had a bigger audience than you, and honestly i think it comes down to how you express yourself, you sound very negative most of the time. I'm not saying that you should be happy all the time either. It may sound personal but it would be nice to see the OG weapons only grow a lot more, I really like yourcontent
Yeah I need to get better at trying to be more enthusiastic, people perceive monotone as “negative” when its just me speaking like a normal person most of the time, far as I can tell. Other than when I was struggling in abyss a bit I was never in a bad mood at all this video lol.
Ultimately, I barely care if someone has more subscribers than me, it does not matter. I just want to try to make the content I think is worth making, and I want to get better at making it. This does mean I want to be more enthusiastic, but I do not like being disingenuous in my communication so it always feels inherently wrong to force myself to do so. Its much easier when I have a basic script to follow, but scripted videos take a lot longer to make :/
I don't think it's negativity nor he sounds negative. Cuz tectone is negative, mtashed it negative but they are loud. It's about being loud and big. Showing emotions as if you are in a theatre.

I love the playful nitpicking on all of the bad choices made on this account and i have been comparing the similarities between your account and Kekvins account and it does seem that you have somewhat average luck while Kekvin has some of the worst luck I have seen in any account (including my 3 accounts). I think thats important to note while noting on lack of constelations and other wishing related things
Yeah I was mostly just being playful in regard to his constellations. Ultimately he has done less wishing and has been more unlucky, which functionally just means his account is lower invested compared to mine. (C4 Xiangling is the easiest C4 in the game to purposefully get though and the only excuse for that is he didnt realize how important it would be and never planned on getting it purposefully)

Yeah, I dont think hes bought as many welkins as I have either, which after a year and half can make a meaningful difference (I havent bought welkins on my account for that full year and a half though, and fwiw I only topped up specifically to get C6 Candace on Polearms Only, and then my brother gifted me a topup as a bday present last year for C1 Hu Tao).
I didnt go in depth into constellations all that much since its not something that can easily “fix” the account, but I mention it as a point of comparison because it is the most obvious difference between our two accounts.
C4 Xiangling was something he shouldve been able to get though, as its one of the easiest C4s in the game to intentionally get after a year of play. 2 shop XLs plus one from abyss is C2, meaning he only had to pull two XLs on a banner, which makes XL C4 after a year of play equivalent difficulty to acquire as most C1 four stars are as long as you dont waste starglitter (like Kekvin did lol)

He’ll get her sooner or later. 7 wishes is probably not much and probably just seven 3 star weapons *OR* it’s seven wishes short on getting your favorite character before the banner ends. 😬 So you gotta decide what’s your priority and his priority is getting the 5-stars then this is ultimately his decision we should respect. 😅
its not the same situation though, its a content challenge account you wont be wishing for your favourite character. you’re wishing ti make your account work with the limited characters available, meaninf you should be taking the risk to pull for 4* characters on 5* banners you cant use because its your only way. xiangling is the easiest one to get cons for so thats why theres more emphasis on the fact she wasnt invested in. and her cons make her a cracked unit so there should be more incentive LOL
thinking his method isn’t logical isn’t disrespectful, again its a challenge so being optimal is a normal thing to focus on. there are limited 5* polearms and most dont synergise the best so 4* are pretty high priority. esp as easy as xl

Yknow i dont find beetles for cyno or any other level up material that bad because i farmed for r5 the catch while i was burned out on the game.
Cyno isn't worth pulling, even on a restricted account like this.
it feels easy when you do it but when I try I use my first character and see that is took me 10 secs to use his E burst and when I switch to my dps I see that 20secs have passed when I switch off him the first minute have already passed

i'm not even playing a polearm only account but i like Raiden, thoma, chevreuse and cyno together, just use cyno and raiden as duo, raiden and double electro is enough to shorten cyno's onfield time to only do two of his special E triggers and switch, other teams don't allow him to shorten his onfield time because of energy issues
The main issue with doing that is that if Im using Raiden and Chev together, it makes more sense to use Raiden built as the main on field dmg dealer in my experience (and yes I am talking before I activated Raidens constellations it felt this way still). Not mention not having XL in the team would be a bit rough imo, so all in all I am only interesting in Cyno/Chev without Raiden, so Im working on fixing his ER needs so he feels good without an electro teammate

I love that you’re trying to help people but I feel you’re very harsh in the way you give advice. Ive seen a few of your videos and you’re very degrading in the way you “fix accounts”. I personally have been discouraged because I feel like I’ve invested so much into this game just to see a video telling me my xiangling is ass because I don’t have this specific artifact set or I don’t have enough weapons leveled. Love what you’re trying to do but please chill out.
You do realize this was specifically focused on a polearm only account, right? And I have a very successful polearm only account of my own, wherein I know the solution is hyperinvesting. Kekvin will never be successful without optimizing his builds as much as possible. Its a polearm only account-when you restrict yourself into unoptimal situations like only specific niche character choices that is where the need to hyperinvest can arise. Thats how this game is made. My XL on my main account is very meh, and I rarely use her. But the context of a polearm only account limits options to a degree that things need to be evaluated differently, especially when evaluating how annoying it can be to use XL without Bennett. Dont equivocate different accounts states to yours, especially challenge accounts that ignore all but one weapon type lol
Out of the polearm context, I specifically try to have the focus of the account fixing stuff be oriented around a different goal for different accounts. Im not equivocating one account to another, Im looking for possible paths to success. Which depends on the goal of the player. If you think Ive been degrading when all I really do is mention the numerous possibilities available most of the time, while also having a back and forth conversation with the individuals whose account Im fixing, I dunno what to tell you lol. Im not telling YOU that you need to build XL or level more weapons, it all depends on the other numerous factors about the state of your account and what your goal is. My focus for the AR46 video I made recently was just to get some more options for OW utility and enough to clear floor 8 of abyss. My focus for the AR60 video was 36 starring. These are very different accounts with very different goals relative to their current investment level.
All the videos are meant to be is an exploration of my thought processes based on game knowledge that I have. And when it comes to achieving the goal of “fixing” an account, yeah, strong characters and good artifacts being available can help a lot in finding a path to success. Duh. Its why I generally check to see if the strong four stars are built or not, as it vastly increases the number of options you may have to deal with situations. So I dunno what to tell you if you think Im being an asshole. My presumption is you are taking this specific video out of context and havent actually watched many of my other videos since I barely even do more than mention/check XL in most of them lol. Half the time its just getting enough ER on characters to make them usable…

in certain contexts when something is so good its common to use traditionally negative words to describe just how immensely good it is. e.g
this time piece is so good its absurd (disgusting/insane/outrageous). its pretty common in english and is similar to the expression “too good”, of course if something is very good you’d still want it but too good should mean its too much and yet, its technically a positive thing!
