Is Revel 2402 T DTF Printer Right for your business?

- After a few weeks of owning and using the Revel 2402 Dtf Printer I will tell you how I feel about it and give you an explanation of what I feel would help you have a smoother transition when and if you decide to get one. First of all I am surprised at how smooth the transfers peel. I thought you had to snatch them off but they just peel of smoothly. Its like the heat press magicallly releases the film from the image. Its so smooth That I plan on doing a video showing you a batches of transfer and how smooth the peel. I absolutly love this thing now that I have gotten past the slight learning curve. Great vid. I really love the functionality of that printer. I think that Ricoma really improved all the issues people were having with the other brands. The mirror on the left side of the printer is a definite plus, other brands you have to use a cell phone or a telescope mirror from a side tight door in order to clean the print head. I wasn’t sure in the video if you said you fill the capping station with cleaning solution or cap solution? I would’ve thought that cleaning solution would delaminate the head sitting in it too long. Looks like it’s gonna be a great machine that will run without issues. I look forward to seeing more vids of good and bad as you deal with this machine.
Cleaning solution. Idk if it eventually gonna cause that issue you mentioned but we will see in time.

There are definitely fumes, less fumes than the smaller one most likely due to Ricoma providing a better filtration system but I still plan on building my own system in addition to the purification system provided.
What have you used to cover the pressing plate on your Heat Press machine ?

It’s ok. They haven’t been playing as good as they didn’t in the beginning of the season. I wish Ricoma did but it’s cool. I’m happy just helping the people for now.

What software are you using to RIP the file. Are you using Vivid Rip or something else?

@@adubbproductions Just a heads up vivid rip does not handle shadows at all. You also will bot be able to rip gang sheets longer that around 22"x40" as of right now.
I am testing some other solutions. I will let you know if I come up with something.

I’m have two RI 600’s with I love, and have made me lots of money, because I hired someone else to do the graphic designs idea; however, I’ve got to buy new heads because I didn’t use my machines while I was trying to learn how to do graphics myself😂😂😂. LESSON LEARNED. But I’d love to have one of these to enhance my business.

Man I think you don't have to leave the machine on for the white ink to do the stirring. It will continue to stir the white ink even if you turn the printer off from the red stop button on top of It. If you see on the left door of the printer below the ink stations it is a timer that works autonomously even if you turn off the printer. Try it and tell me if it is the same for you too
What dtf machine would you recommend for a beginner?
I wouldn’t suggest the R2 from AaPrint supply co.

Your best bet would be to contact the company you purchased it from for repair assistance.
What is the cost of the ink on this machine?
Color inks are $80 each for 1 liter bottle white is $100 a bottle for 1 liter bottles.

Business question. Do you worry about license issues with your images? That scares me most.
I either make my images, get them made by a graphic designer or print what customers send me. The school stuff I do I don’t have to worry about because I’m an authorized vendor of the school district.

Great video but just a thought. How can one buy from a company that doesn’t tell you all the nuances of the machine? You constantly are saying “they don’t tell you” and I am thinking why not? It makes it seem that they build or buy this machine, throw ricoma or whatever company on it, you buy it, they say here is the ink placement, power, film goes here and good luck. Doesn’t make sense that they didn’t explain this and you had to figure everything on your own. We /you spend too much money not to be fully set up and given things that are very important
I misunderstood what you wrote and had to read it over. Ricoma was actually the only company that told me to do the wet capping thing. I honestly think the tech is still new to the point that the companies are still trying to learn it. In the meantime they do what they need to to make money. That’s my opinion. Same thing happened when dtg first came out. Everyone that got one kept having clogged printheads. Now the few people that still have them like myself figured out the nuances.
Major rant lol 😂 but it’s just crazy to me that these companies do this. Appreciate the response. Keep doing what you do!!!✊🏽
