I just want to add something that might be common sense to most, do NEVER put anything you don't want to be cut in front of a circular saw, including limbs. Just don't, no excuses.

Being careful involves slowing down, paying very close attention to the task and the tool, and cautiously executing the task, stopping at the first sign of trouble. There is no fool proof remedy to avoid a drill locking up, but being careful will allow you to recognize a sign of a problem, and then addressing it. Best of luck on your projects!

When discussing the dangers of some of the power (specifically drills) you just say “be carful” with no solutions for preventing or operating safely.
