I guess what many might not realise is that i have no control as to where the camera goes. The act is meant to be watched LIVE, with misdirection and beats and moments that cannot be replicated and experienced through video. And they worked perfectly during the live performances that i did at the castle. But i guess there will always be some that watch this and say that they can "See" things happening and judge my abilities base on that, fine with me. Anyway, my act has changed a lot since then, for the better, and i am looking forward to being back. :)
Everyone on the internet thinks they’re an expert I guess. Sure I can rewind and see stuff after I find out where the trick is going - but there’s no way people are catching that live. Great act.
Your direction of attention skills are phenomenal. I couldn't believe I was so fooled by misdirection through a video. I hope to watch your show someday. Thanks for sharing and stay safe!
@@MingDamformagic I really love your accent. It sounds like Chinese and British English mixed with Indonesian . It's really a cool combination. GREAT SHOW !!!
What a fantastic performance! It seems like the sleights I did see I enjoyed even more because of how skilfully they were done. Amazing skill and great personality throughout!
At this point I’ve watched the shot glass and bottle routine at least 10 times on super slow speed and I think I may be able to see the first vanish - maybe. This dude is so smooth I’m not even sure there was ever anything in his hands at one point.
That was great performance!! But im sorry man you gotta answer a question just yes or no to calm my mind you know.. the last performance, does is have to do anything with the word "rough"? Idk how to speak in code I hope you know rough what I mean.
When she was tying that white rope into a double knot on his hand, I saw his other finger slip the nut under the card box. Kinda funny to see that camera angle. I was wondering why he positively nodded his head so much with her, then he hid the nut under the Box. Old fashion trick but it worked. Enjoyed the show.
Unfortunately pretty telegraphed. It's isn't "the camera angle" it's the choices that were made. Example: the shot-glass at 3:14 where it's seemingly "impossible" to get the coin under the shot glass was a pretty big oversight since the glass is clear AND it would be the only place anyone would look. I'm sure most people, including myself, would not need to watch it back or in slow mo. Also the very beginning was blatantly telegraphed (the mini suitcase) the misdirection was not great enough or far away enough to not see him reach in his lap.
Thanks for the comment! This video has been a while back! No need to judge me based on it so quickly :) Honestly, i feel that it could be better too, not just blaming the camera angle on it (even though not the best). It was a learning experience , having done this many times with my own table, i overlooked the fact that bringing the routine to a new venue with a new table changes things, especially with the chereography and distance to the table. I had to change certain things to accomodate, out of my comfort zone but hey the show has to go on. Not the best to watch with a camera, but the guests watching it "Live" were not exposed to anything. The act is not meant for camera after all :)
It entertaining. Thats all that matters. But if you were there it would be more difficult to see the slight of hand. This camera angle really ruins his routine. From a slight of hand stand point.

Why not put a wireless "GO RODE" lavalier on the performers instead of this muffled sound ?

How he do that?
Excellent performance!
Clever ball and card work. Very positive guy. He'd make a great bartender too. Lots of lol.

Amazing misdirection!!!
Thank you+
How long did you have to practice this before you first performed this?
A couple of months at least

I wonder why the Magic Castle doesn't provide rooms that are a bit more soundproof? I would think the experience would be much more effective.
I watched this on shrooms and learned the trick. Thank you Ming Dong!!!

Crowd in the other room drowns him out unfortunately.
@1:38 he picks up the booze bottle from his lap & then @1:46 he picks up the shot glass, also from his lap - *_really_* that's _MAGIC_ ?
It entertaining. Thats all that matters. But if you were there it would be more difficult to see the slight of hand. This camera angle really ruins his routine. From a slight of hand stand point.
do you really think this is witchcraft? they're called sleights of hand
But could you figure out his last trick with the aces? Probably not
the trick is so freaking cheap. the hands of the magician is to poorly slow that the trick is noticeable
Sorry🤣
The camera angle ruins it. He has done a perfect job. It's meant to give a live experience and a videot recording would obviously ruin it
