This is the first lesson in a 6 part series of lessons on hemodynamic principals as they relate to nursing knowledge, monitoring, and management. We strive for hemodynamics made easy!
In this lesson, we cover the basics of the cardiovascular system anatomy that apply to our understanding of a patients hemodynamics. Whether you are a nursing student, ICU nurse new grad, or an experienced ICU nurse, this lesson is meant as an overview of information that has already been taught in nursing school and is used to lay the foundation for the future lessons. These foundational principals are a necessary part of a critical care nurse (RN) working in the ICU setting.

Where the deoxygenated blood use to supply blood to the heart tissue drains back into the right atrium.
Its very crass but the only way I remember the valve order is the "Toilet Paper My Ass" TPMA ....one of my EMT students said this but .. hey it helps people remember lol
