That's exactly how my ex husband is. Nothing is ever his fault, nobody is on his side, and everyone is out to get him. I wonder if it's a drug similarity or mental health or maybe a combo of the two bc I swear everything he said is what my ex would have said ver batim.

When those kids come out and see their mom just behind them they run on over and he gently reaches out and tucks them behind him into mums arms, one and then the second. Eyes picked dead ahead. I think you are reading a bit far into it mate. His job is to focus on the criminal and not get shot to death. He was just moving the kids out of the way to safety, covering his fellow officers as trained to do and not letting himself get distracted, keeping his eyes on the target. Not covering eachother or getting distracted means potentially getting killed. He's there to look after himself first, officers second, and the parties third.
Not wanting to get killed is a powerful motivator.

The brother in that first scene described his brother as a 42-year-old adolescent and that's absolutely the most appropriate description of him. He was behaving like a literal child. I hope he got some help, because he definitely needed it.
First he needs to understand that he earned all the consequences he gets for threatening another person's life over merely feeling wronged and disrespected. Something his mother still doesn't teach him by the looks of it. He shouldn't be let back to see her at all if she's actively that bad of an influence on his personality. As the older brother said, this wasn't his first time he's lashed out like this, which is the likely reason why his wife is divorcing him and taking the kids. He may need help down the line, sure, but he's an adult first and foremost and need to own up to his mistakes. We all do. That's the first step towards maturity, and without it nothing will change for the better.

I'm always so impressed when the police perform the PIT maneuver on a moving vehicle. It seems like it would be so easy to cause a crash rather than simply stopping a fleeing automobile.
As opposed to them performing it on a stopped vehicle?
they just try not to show bad pit's or getaways getting away, back in the 1990s a lot more cop fails were shown but they got taken out cos its bad PR & might encourage boys & girls to be naughty!

There is actually a technique and depending on where you work a school all about pit maneuvers that officers are able to take. The pit maneuver utilizes the inertia and weight of the vehicle to lock the wheel into turning into the Vehicle that causes the pit (i.e the police car hits the vehicle on the left side it will go to the left when it spins out.). Following newtons law of "an object in motion stays in motion" defines why the vehicle continues traveling in the direction that ultimately ends with the vehicle stopping in a manor or location in a way that prevents the driver from continuing to flee or disables the vehicle.

Complicity to crime is still a crime. I don't feel any more bad for her than I do for him, even if it may appear that she was being manipulated. The guilty conscience would still be on her even if she'd been the one driving, since they still denied being involved in a hit & run with injury as the victim and witnesses testified.

I really hope that poor woman and children are getting helped with a local community that understands. Often times they don’t get help through local community that speaks the same language and knows the way their patriarchal society operates. They would probably be too embarrassed to ask for help through any victims services the police provide due to shame. Once that starts to happen, the husband would see in his own mind that he did nothing wrong as that’s the way things have been done for 1000’s of years back in the country they immigrated from. I understand these things from watching many documentaries over many years. I hope the best for her. Many Canadian organizations understand this due to having large numbers of Asian/Philippine/korean people who have made our country home.

So they can't say he was running from them. They never told him to stop. So they only found the gun on him due to an illegal tackle on the guy. They never told him to stop. Not once. 23:00 I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty but I have had to drive my car with a screwdriver. My key stopped working due to corrision or something and I couldn't afford to get a new ignition switch put in. So I figured out a way to start it with a screwdriver and did that for over a year or so. Just saying, it's not always criminal even if that's how it appears, but in my case I could have provided proof of ownership :)
