This is only an animation, not a game.
Actually, what I wanted to do is X7 in 32-bit but doing MM9 in 32-bit would be faster and less work. Since it's quick I added MM10 as well.
Megaman 9 is unexpectedly incredible but personally, I would prefer Megaman 9 and 10 in Megaman 8 sprite style with less cute backgrounds but it's clear 8-bit MM9 is for the 8-bit fans and nostalgia.
I only intent to do the Version 2 Boss Battles but when I started working on this I think everyone would prefer if I do the original as well. Version 2 is a concept. I wish I could turn it into a game and try it. On V2, Megaman can charge and slide. Robot Masters have new attacks but deals less damage compared to the original. However, the bosses have an overdrive attack that would be deadly. I love the overdrive attacks on X8. Powered Up has that as well but it's not that deadly. Bosses don't take damage when they execute their overdrive attack. The bosses don't have invincibility frames but they have longer life bar. They will only have invincibility if you use their weakness. Also, there should be invincibility frames on V1 but I'm lazy to add blinking on the bosses. XD
Also Megaman moves a little faster here compared to 8. I thought of animating it in same size as the 8-bit so the speed would be the same but I stick to the MM8 resolution on V1 Bosses. Besides, 8-bit Megaman is in chibi so he looked smaller.
I choose Galaxy Man because I love his design. One of my fave Robot Masters.
I choose Sheep Man because he is the considered one of worst Robot Masters which I'm not surprised. I also think he is one of the least. I just want him to look good in 32-bit.

The real impressive thing about this is that this is an animation thats made to look like gameplay, that mustve been hard as hell.

I bet you he played it in the original and then had that in the background having all the new sprites just follow the old ones with the appropriate animations.
I like the extra detail of Sheepman being on an empty frame when he was defeated, like what would occasionally happen in the actual MegaMan 7 game.
If this were the Sonic community, you'd be in demand to make sprites for a fan game.

To be honest they should've kept the 16 bit (Megaman 7) sprites in my opinion.

I'm fine with what they did for MegaMan9.
It sure worked for MegaMan10 also but I'd personally prefer if they went with 32bits as in this animation.
Or make a collection where you can play as any version, 8 bits, 16 bits, 32 bits or power up.

Also of course they couldn't reveal anything on the 30th anniversary, remember that Inafute is the creator and rightful owner of megaman and since he doesn't work for capcom anymore, they are not capable of any megaman stuff unless Inafute is in the company
Inafune didn't create anything actually nor does he have rights to megaman. He is a bussinesman that produced the games and made some artwork, but he didn't work on anything besides that. Capcom has all the rights to megaman and if they wanted they could make another one. Dimps created 9 and 10, why not hire them again?
Pepeus Amstrongus better yet let ultimatemaverick get hired. I mean look at all his works, they are all 100% accurate to the game's mechanics and animations. Not like the others, this man must be the one to make the game great again

I would have been more interested in 9 and 10 if it at least had the fucking charge shot and slide but they cut it and it annoyed me like when Nintendo took away Mario's triple jump in 3D land and when Sega took away Sonic's spindash in Unleashed and onward. I'm really hoping should we get a new game, they don't reuse the same MM1/2 assets they did up 'till 6 again. If you wanna stay 8-bit? Fine, Just make new assets and stop trying to immitate the limiations of the NES, Take more liberties like what Sonic Mania did. That game couldn't possibly run on a Genesis.
This is what even Capcom could've done to revive Mega Man

You know this probably would have been the case if Capcom released them right after 8. I can already picture it. 9 comes in 99 after MM&B and finally top it off with 10 in the year 2000, maybe before X5 came out. Awesome job man! Hope to see more!

looking back at your old X animations, it's amazing to see how far you've come. Been a fan of you since the beginning and can't wait to see what you do next.
9 and 10 shouldve been 32-bit, or at least 10. the indies already saturated the market with 8-bit titles, and Capcom did nothing to really innovate or remaster the new games. nothing wrong with a good ol' callback, but their retro result was just plain.

Two things about sheep man.
1: I honestly expected the soundbite from clown man of "see you in my dreams" as he blows up.
2: if he fought like he did in your second version in the original game he would not be as mocked as he is.
I'd have actually played MM9/10 if they looked like this. It's a real shame Capcom copped out with the nostalgia stuff instead of progressing off of the giant visual upgrade that MM8 had.

There’s nothing wrong with the 8 Bit style, and Capcom had a good idea on their hands to give that coat to 9 and 10. But I would’ve actually liked to see how all the games were stylized like this.
I love how you gave them new attacks in their second fight! Especially Sheep Man's new attacks! They look awesome!! And God knows how much he needed those...
Those new attacks added to Galaxy Man's arsenal were amazing! Why didn't Capcom think of adding in those to Galaxy Man's 8-bit arsenal?

However, with regards to the V2 battles, I think Sheep Man's 4-cloud lightning attack can be made a bit deadlier, if each cloud fired off 2 lightning bolts.
Something like the following pattern:
1-2-3-4 -> clouds reposition themselves -> 1-2-3-4 -> Sheep Man reforms.
That might keep players on their toes a little bit.

@@zzzszxc3285 Honestly, Strike Man is the least memorable design for me. He is a baseball on legs, and at the very least Sheep Man was interesting with the whole connection of sheep and clouds via representation of sleep thing.

Am I the only one who gets the reference with Sheep Man? I suppose the only ones who get the refference are those who saw Desktop Sheep. That cute little thing you can play with on your desktop by picking it with your mouse and placing it somewhere on the top of the openned window or something. That's why the Sheep Man's stage has a cursor in it. That's why the stage looks like you're inside the computer. It's just one big refference...probably...

Sometimes I think Sheep man could be considered as the first Maverick, because he has less Anthropomorphic aspects than the others robot masters and looks more like a Megaman X Boss

Graphics are something that while matters, not always need to be new. Computers and wheels are machines to make something, downgrading them downgrades the working and useability. 8-Bit MegaMan is awesome because it's made like it was made in that time, with love. So why does it matter when did it released when it's already past-like enough? Why does it matter if you can play OLD games and not whine about the graphics, and then play MegaMan 9 and it's still awesome as the old games and the only difference for a gamer is the release date?

Tienes toda la razón, se que los 8bits provocan nostalgia y son un clásico en estos juegos, pero la verdad que este tipo de animación hubiera llamado mas la atención del publico al que se quieren acercar (los niños) por su diseño agradable y llamativos colores, pero muy aparte de eso los megaman que tenemos (el 9 y 10) no es que sean malos pero sinceramente parece que no hubiera una mejora del primer al décimo juego solo un copy page(copia y pega).
posdata: lo digo porque yo personalmente me acerque a la saga por megaman 8 jeje ;)

I like this i believe that this is how Mega Man 9 & 10 should've been like in 32-bit graphics style i understand the way that capcom was going with reliving the 8 bit era with MM 9 & 10 but with this look would've suited both games even better in 32 bit....
I wanted 32 bit graphics for Megaman 9 and 10; I get that people wanted 8bit but they should've left 32 bit as an option for others....Thanks for making it a reality for me even if it's just an animation, love your work!

Great work! How the hell did you make the animation look like actual gameplay? Do you use reference? The jump height and stuff seems like a nightmare to keep track of
The art style of MM7 fits better with the cute chara-design of the classic Megaman franchise, but MM8's art style looks pretty rad too.
And this is how I wanted MM9&10 to be, to continue to evolve in the way it was ment.
for being only an animation, this is super slick and looks like it could be an actually game, the only thing that doesn't look that 32-bit is galaxy man's black hole, but that is about it.
