Just don’t look at the needle 💉 I could do it without holding anyone’s hand, and I could look at the needle, and I don’t even cry or get scared
I once got a blood draw at 8 and I screamed louder than a Hawk
It seems like it’s gonna hurt a lot but it’s really fine! I got mine drawn a few years ago I was 8 and didn’t cry. It hurts but like not ridiculously and only while they put it in and pull it out so for like 5-10 seconds

When I got my blood drawn at 5, the first time, which was when I fainted. My dad was repeating to the doctor, “just take the blood.” I was kicking and screaming. My dad had to hold me in a position. It was so much drama. But Zuri was very brave during this

She is so brave, she’s definitely braver than I would have been when I was your age. I also have needle phobia but I like these kinds of needles now because I know that they are not going to hurt because they are so thin.

OMG!!!!! Zuri did so amazing and she was so brave!!!! I can’t believe she did it by herself!!!! One day I got blood draw and I was kinda nervous because I did do it before but they needed to move the needle around to find the blood.

On September I have to get my tonsils out and my blood test. To distract me for the blood test is I am gonna think of stuff that makes me happy, bring something fun, bring a teddy bear, bring one of those squishy balls, hold my brothers hand, hold my moms hand, or hold my dads hand. I have never got a blood test before. And I am afraid of needles. They make me cry and scream. I got my shot when I was a baby and when I was 4, 5, or 6.

Something I like to bring with me to the doctor is a ball or cube to squeeze. It’s the best thing to have because whether you have to get a shot or prick, squeezing the ball or cube can help your kids get through it.

I have had my blood drawn 16 different times in my arms and hands and wrist, and I also spent a week in the hospital and had an mri and endoscopy to place a stent and now I am better I spent a week in the hospital at Charlotte at Levine Children's Hospital and had and had an IV and I hope they do really good.
