He didn't just voice him, he also physically portrayed him in this ending. They took the video of him doing this entire ending part and placed it into the game, which makes this ending all the more sexy

For anyone who's interested: 'G' or Genesis looks more realistic as it is literally live action Gackt, whom he is based off of. He has the heavy accent in Dirge and not CC because the accent was not well received so Square backed it off in the prequel; Crisis Core, with a much more subtle, almost sexy accented voice. Finally, people argue over if he actually died in CC or not. Yes, he did. He was assimilated into the lifestream in CC and reborn from it (and/or Omega) in Dirge of Cerberus.
I still cant get over how BADASS Gackt looks as Genesis in this short Cameo! He looks more like they literally put his head on Genesis than in CC. Yes i know Genesis was themed after gackt. (: But these graphics are crazy compared to the old psp "good graphics" cutscenes from CC. (ex. the badass fight between Grnesis and Sephiroth with Angeal stopping them in the end) I mean it was still great to see CG Gackt again in CC either way, but this small scene still blows it all out of the water. Still mindblown from seeing it the first time i unlocked it. "GACKT!? ... HOLY.. JESUS." -queue Redemption-
I think that Scene was not 3D made and it was actually gackt in there with i think probably some kind of green screen that showed the 3D parts.
I hope he look like he did in the HD cutscenes in Crises Core if he's in the remake. And I REALLYYYY hope he's in the remake. I hope they add CC as a dlc or something. I liked more how he looked in Crises Core

Yeah. But since he wasn't in the original PS1 version of Final Fantasy 7, chances are that if he appears in the remake it'll most likely be as an easter egg, secret boss, or as a DLC. Still, it would be interesting to see him make a reappearance in the series.
+Laura Wasnewsky I will prefer they make some end game/additional content that feature the continuation of Genesis' story after he retrieved Weiss. Square did something like this on the remake of Final Fantasy V GBA by adding additional feature, dungeon and boss after finishing the main story of the game.
I guess that sounds okay. Now all we have to hope for is that Square Enix will be able to have Gackt reprise his role as Genesis in case they do decide to include him in the remake.

God I hope Gackt returns as Genesis in future Final Fantasy Projects. I hope they don't just leave his fate unexplained like they did with this game. I know Gackt is going through some health issues at the moment but if he is unable to return as Genesis I think Daisuke Namikawa would be a great substitute. I know it wouldn’t be the same but I don't think you could get any closer (voice wise), plus Daisuke Namikawa has yet to get a role in any FF7 project.
I am really looking forward for a storyline related to Genesis after this. Will he finally fulfill his wish in Crisis Core by becoming the real hero, or will he becomes some powerful villain that even Sephiroth cannot defeat? Who know what will happen if Square really makes a sequel. But, I really hope to know what happen to Genesis after this.

I think the reason why square has not yet made a game with Genesis is because of Gackt himself.

@fallenangel2100 My understanding is that, in one of the 'official' Japanese FFVII Ultimania books, the creator has said that Genesis is waiting for when the planet needs him. He turned down the invitation from Deepground to get back at the people on the planet, so my understanding is also that he gained redemption and forgiveness. Gaia (Minerva) spurned him in Crisis Core, so he is atoning for what he did.
I'm hoping for Sephiroth vs. Genesis in another game, but I doubt it will happen! :)

@obiwanda As we should all know by now, FFVII mechanics have people's 'life essence' or soul whatever float around the lifestream so it is not at all radical that he should be spawned from it at Dirge's close. Finally, he is not a blood brother of Weiss. At his death in CC, Weiss and Nero discuss how he will 'become' his brother. He simply is becoming their ally in the evolving Deepground org as they are interested in his power. Now stop arguing, and stop making stupid assumptions. Thank you :)

So, if they make another game with Genesis in it, who'd be the protagonist that has to fight him in the end? After defeating Sephiroth twice, that'd seem like a step down for Cloud.

I've made one minus the shoulder straps and from the Redemption PV I can see they go right across the back and are longer at the back, I think it's a bird tail shape but can't confirm....anyone help? @@ChrisMorray i think he is asking is if Cloud is the possible brother of Genesis since Zack Angeal and Sephiroth have all but died and now Genesis is after Cloud who was infused with Mako Energy Sephiroth Cells and Jenova Cells after his blood so that he can become all powerful again this is another reason why i think in the FF7 Remake(spoilers ahead for remake do not read if you don't wanna get spoiled)Future Sephiroth asks for Clouds help cus i also think in that ending scene of Remake Future Sephiroth seems actually worried for Cloud's well being people may not think so but he is cus i think in the future he witnesseses Genesis coming back to life and thus because he wanted power Genesis tries to force Sephiroth's Cosciesness out of Cloud so he can take the Jenova Power and Sephiroth power within Cloud but the extraction fails ultimately killing Cloud in the timeline Future Sephiroth is from or maybe he does not fail and he was able to absorb the power and then Cloud dies but because that happens the planet then gets messed up hence again future Sephiroth want to save the planet but not just the planet but Cloud himself hence he time travels in order to save Cloud from Dying and the planet getting destroyed or messed up.
