Living up north, I hadn’t seen a cotton picker before I started watching your videos. They are quite the machine with a lot of moving parts. Very interesting. I hope you don’t have any broken piping or a frozen pump. One of the reasons I enjoy your videos is because you show it all. Good luck with this year’s crops
Thanks for the video of tilling dirt nice drone work Daniel. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️. Hi Granny have a Blessed day ❤️.
Oh Daniel I remember Remodeling a Restaurant in the winter and my Coffee and Tea Brewing Machine’s were in a Shipping Container and the Water Solenoid froze and Busted and I had to Overnight $300+ of Parts! You better fill the Cotton picker up and Check Everything now before you need it!
It’s nice now but this is also what we call the false spring in the Deep South. We’ll have a severe cold snap soon, you watch. It’s usually a bad sign for us to get this hot this early
Nice tillage video Daniel! Good morning Granny, we are warmer up here in Decatur, I have my greenhouse opened up and have started my early spring work first up is taking cuttings from an angel wing begonia I kept over winter in my workshop I have experimented with different methods but what seems to work best is start them on a germination mat in glass jars in water to root then transfer them into my seed starter soil in 4 inch pots . I start 30 we only need 18 so the others will go to some of the ladies at the church who look forward to them . Hope you are well and enjoying life!
Harbor Freight has a Viking 2000 amp jump box about the size of 2 cell phones that for $140 will save you so much time. We used it for the first time when it was 6 degrees on a 200hp Case that had been sitting for a couple months and after 10 minutes it started it up like summer. The 2 neighbors that were snickering went straight over to HF and bought their own, lol.
Tools ALWAYS seem to get used and we , the user keeps misplacing them. Haha. Hopefully you find the missing screw drivers Daniel. Thanks Always for the videos. We enjoy them
Daniel your like us here at m and m farms .to much to keep up with , I had to retrain myself to a winterized check list to make sure it gets done. Few people realize how many batteries, antifreeze, filters, oil hydraulic hoses it takes. 😢
I was doing these types of repairs when I was 10 years old and back in they day you didn't buy the spindle and spindle nut already put together. I actually had to remove spindle and size the spindle nut.
Hi Daniel - Bad thing about that Red Briar is that they will just come back if you cut them off unless you spray the stump with a product like TORDON .
how good a job you think that high speed would do in unmowed cotton stalks before they got really brittle? maybe still a little green inside. weve thought about cutting out having to mow and VT for a cover crop and replacing with a high speed for a one pass deal
GOOD MORNING GRANNY HOPE YOUR DOING Well!!! DANIEL you really Crack me up when you make Comments with your Dad makes me Laugh with your BIG GRIN !!! KEEP THESE VIDEOS COMING GREAT TO SEE YOU GUYS BACK IN YOUR FIELDS!!! STILL COLD AND SNOWY IN NORTHWEST OHIO!!! PLEASE SEND UP SOME WARM WEATHER!!!
Operations I know have had trouble with plugging on the CIH. They have switched to a Salford and have been very pleased with no plugging and a better finish.
Mr Dann sir put on some safety glasses sir I work for john deere as there equipment setup technician for john deere for 20 years now setting up large Ag-equipment i have done that same job your doing putting spindle bars back the row unit drum we have a guy hurt his hand wit one slip one of those spindles went through his hand sir please 🙏 becarful
Daniel, honest question. On the implement that opened the episode, there is a round disc cutting a row directly in front of the thing going into the ground (ripper?). What id the purpose of the round disc?
That is a coulter and its purpose is to cut vines, grass, weeds or whatever might get hung on the ripper shank, it’s directly in front of the shank so the material will flow around the shank on either side, thanks for watching 👍😁
@TripleRFarms very cool. I know my questions are annoying but I thank you very much for taking the time to answer. My very best to Granny and your Dad.
Why aren't you using the second implement on all your fields and actually a wider one... seems like that other thing doesn't really break up the ground much... and yes I have farmed...
Great explanation of the field prep process! 📢 It’s always interesting to see the strategy behind crop rotation and soil management! 🌾👍
Just love your dad. Your lucky to have him working every day.
Your Dad has so much knowledge, enjoy him explaining things, plus he's funny......
He knows a lot, thanks for watching 👍😁

Then they also have cotton strippers out West like in Texas. Looks almost the same but it basically takes in the whole plant
@@DickAnderson-k9y he should put liquid in it and try before season starts. Fix now
Then re winterize
What an opening, drone shots of tilling the land, Daniel. Wow! Good morning, Granny. Only 3 degrees here in Maine.

Good morning Granny from Oklahoma. Looks like perfect conditions for spring tillage. Have a great rest of the week and stay safe.

I’ll have to check it out, thanks for watching 👍😁
Why do you have the wide and narrow middles when running the inline ripper for the cotton?
Spring is about to sprung!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Which drone do you use?
have you tried tillage master chemichal. got liberty round up and banvel and a touch of 24d low volatile in it.
This new Farming Simulator looks amazing !
Are y’all coming to the Gin Show?

35 picker units sounds like a nightmare to maintain not to mention the help and support equipment required to keep them moving.
Thanks for watching 👍😁
Lucky you in T-shirt, was 3 deg F here yesterday in Vermont.
Does the Right to repair law have a big effect on you?
So many people have no idea how much maintenance goes into farming.
Did you all trade tractors
Looks like you need a harbor freight run
Why would you put that on a battery charger and charge that battery up before it goes bad?
Daniel were mr roy at !!!
He’s recovering from being in a wreck, thanks for watching 👍😁
Why aren't you using the second implement on all your fields and actually a wider one... seems like that other thing doesn't really break up the ground much... and yes I have farmed...
I noticed the spindles have lefthand threads.
Yes they do thanks for watching 👍😁
And they want to push electric car’s??? They can’t make a battery worth a crap anymore!!
How many acres do y’all farm?
All of them
real funny
👍😊🙏
Rather hear the machines.
They are just as bad in North Alabama as there.
Thanks for watching 👍😁
Why don't you'll dig the cotton stalks
