Did you re jet your carb since having the high flow exhaust and air intake? If so, what jets did you install?

I just did the direct pipes and had to rejet pilot to size 50.

@@brunnomiguel so even with the air cleaner and pipes you only had to change the pilot to a 50 and are you running a stock main jet 135 ?!? Also curious if those are strait pipes all the way or do they have baffles? I just put shortshots and the same filter on mine but been having issues trying to get the carb right I had to make a plastic diaphragm to go behind the air cleaner and cut a hole slowly bigger lil by lil until I got her to run any response appreciated

@@jamesbernard6841 yes, I just changed the pilot jet to 50 and meanwhile the airscrew went back to 2 1/2 turns as factory settings.
      Yes, running 135 main jet.
You might need to tune the airscrew.
Also, check for air leeks on the top membrane.

@@jamesbernard6841 no, no issues with the cleaner.
Yes, straight pipes all the way through.

@@brunnomiguel thank you this helps a lot, everyone on the forums is talking about going all the way up to a 170 main jet and some people even saying they got an emulsion tube from a Harley cv carb been kinda hard to know what to make of it. Right now I've got a 145 main and 50 pilot and she doesn't seem to like it so when I get the rebuild kit I'll try your set up. Yours seem to have plenty of power with this tuning?

Hi mate. I run stock controls with kuryakyn switch wing footpegs. From memory they cost me about $180 delivered to my door ;)

Howdy mate, what sort of foot controls do you have on this 800? Are they expensive?

No the air cleaner only took about half hour to fit but you have to move the crank case vent.
It was belt driven until the belt snapped on our last ride! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE BELT DRIVE CONVERSION! The company that makes them are pricks - no after sales service and the belt broke due to manufacture faults and they didn't want to know!!

Scoot Works are a bunch of crooks! They never returned an upper triple tree that I sent them for a chrome exchange program they were running. They screwed me around for over a year. Never returned the triple tree, with or without chrome. Always the same story, "We're working on it" The man is a liar!
