The cost of hair extension move up appointment

- This is what a 6-week weft move up looks like👇🏽
Silicone beads are replaced, hair is brushed out, and threads assessed/resewn.
I ask my client to come with freshly clean hair even though we will glaze and wash again after these are moved up.

Do you realize how long it takes to stand there and do that much work to someone’s hair. It takes a very long time and it’s a job that not everyone can do. You not only pay for the cut, style, moving beads, replacing them, deep shampoo, glaze & style but she needs to be paid for the many hours of work. I assume it’s all depends on the logistics as well. @@mirandaleighlambert736 just an FYI, salon owners are who make the prices. Stylists do not make their own unless working for themselves. They are paid by their experience.

@@Reasasni sadly the person doing your hair is living below the minimum wage if you are in the US. After you deduct overhead, cost of supply, taxes, etc, then they are working for a hobby. Good for you though!

Omg people complain for everything. If you can’t afford it, just say that. $175 per row is not that bad. Keep in mind their only getting 1-3 rows and the price includes the rest of the hair service (washing, treatment & styling).

Mom knew a lady for many years and gave me a haircut, highlights, and blowout for $75. I felt discriminated at an another salon because of welding clothes that charged me $220 for highlights, no haircut

I had these twice. They made my hair really really thin. Long story short I ended up cutting all my hair off, while they were still installed.

@@MirellaManelli your charging that much for rows we charge for a full 200 density wigs (which is very full) and sew-ins and that includes deep shampoo and conditioner and putting hair grow oil and plus you get more hair with black salons you might see famous black Instagram hairstylist charging more than 300 but normal salons don’t charge that much I’m not saying what your charging is bad because that’s how you do things I’m just saying how black salons works

I definitely said $175 and I don’t do clients who want me to live below minimum wage. Luxury services are not necessities so I charge accordingly.

You did way more then just move up her beads. You removed, reinstalled them and added a toner that is not bad. I charge 100 to remove, wash, cut and styling + 150 a row to reinstall which can take up to 4 hours for 3 rows.

I’m not sure where you’re from but I would love to come to you for my hair to be all cut where it’s dead which is a lot since I do my hair with box black dye since high school. It’s about half way down my back and unfortunately I lose so much hair every time I brush it and I’m actually done with killing my hair. It is absolutely not time consuming. I have been to high end salons in NY, and they’ll charge me $300 PER bundle, not rows. It’s the easiest extension install to do. Let’s be serious. Don’t defend this cuz it’s outrageous

$175 a row????? First of all thin Caucasian hair should in no way be using the bead extensions. If anything you’re straining that thin hair which results in thinner strained hair. She’ll be wearing a full lace wig in a year. You should be put out of business for damaging whatever hair is remaining after the first installation. You’re a crook.

GIRL. $175 per row, is SO AFFORDABLE for this service! Assuming your average client has only 2-3 rows, that’s only $350-$500. AND it includes Style, Glaze, and shampoo??! I’d charge more like $200 per row for all of that!
