Hilton Cancun - Summer Vacation 2023

These clips were filmed on June 2023. I finally got around to editing these into a montage-esque video.
Please note that this video is not meant to be informative or as a comprehensive resort review/showcase. I made this simple vacation compilation as a living memory, and I wanted to share my traveling experiences with the world. I do hope that this video can help some of you who are considering staying at Hilton Cancun.
Please note that this stay was paid out of pocket, courtesy of my family.
Overall, I can recommend Hilton Cancun under a few conditions:
1. If you're traveling in a small group
2. If you're on a budget
3. If you want to be close to Cancun International Airport (CUN)
My family and I have also been to other all-inclusive resorts, like Moon Palace, Hyatt Ziva, and Finest Playa Mujeres. All experiences we had thoroughly enjoyed and were looking forward to having again after the COVID-19 pandemic happened. We had set our expectations rather high, as we collectively had wanted to do something like this again since we went to Cancun in 2019 at Finest Playa Mujeres. We chose not to go back to Finest Playa Mujeres due to the room rates being a bit more expensive.
We traveled to Hilton Cancun as a group of 13, and our experience just felt more mixed overall. However, I still overall found my stay more on the enjoyable side.
My main nitpicks were towards Auma, where I had a slew of issues. First, we had a reservation at 7-7:30 PM. We did not get seated until 8-8:30 PM. Next, my provolone appetizer was still undercooked, despite taking a whole hour to make. You can see this clip from the Flip Flop Traveler that shows how the provoleta should've been served:

On top of that, I had received my NY Strip Steak rare when I asked for medium rare. By the time that steak was served, it was about 10:30 PM, and my appetite was almost non-existent. After having a few drinks with my cousins, we headed back to our rooms and ordered a flank steak via room service, done at medium to accommodate my cousins. That happened to be one of the best steaks I had in a long time... They know how to make a good steak. If we traveled in a smaller group, I felt like our experience could've been better. Nonetheless, that's not an excuse for the less-than-ideal experience we had overall.
Next, ice cream was rather difficult to find, except through the room service menu. The ice cream was actually rather delicious. The fact that they don't have it displayed elsewhere is actually insane.
Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my stay here and being able to hang out with my family. I feel like this resort could be a great first-time experience. However, due to our family having more experience with other resorts, we had set our expectations based on those previous experiences. Despite everything, I am sad that I probably won't get another experience like this until next year. However, I will be waiting eagerly to just relax and enjoy some downtime like I did here.
There will be more stuff like this. However, it requires me to travel and have the finances to back it up. I hope to continue to be able to make content like this, as I enjoy traveling and editing these videos.
