I was gifted this book from my daughter. I'm excited to have such beautiful pages. When sister took me to England we got to see a lot of beautiful places. We went to Yorkshire and London.I have a lot of things I can use in a journal. We visited the Bronte sisters Museum. We saw York Minister so I'm have a folder full of everything. I really want to visit again someday. At that time I had never heard of junk journals. I can fill more than one journal. Thanks for sharing this with us. So nice. Love you and your beautiful sense of humor. Watching is such fun. Stay safe
Hello Julie I love Edith Holden but it’s sooo hard to get in Australia. Love what you’ve done with this. A beautiful big pocket and you’ve not really lost anything. Speaking of how old you are. My grand daughter asked my Mum if when she was a kid did she have a pet dinosaur. My Mum nearly died laughing and said “How old does this kid think I am” lol thanks again for another beautiful project. cheers Yvonne. 💖
No it’s not cheating; it’s a wonderful idea! I have felt a little bad thinking about cutting up the book, but you’re preserving it in a new form. Love it ❤
Awesome Julie! I just had to go see if I had that page ( you don’t need to go look up the video.. it’s the finch and sparrow page in the Edith Holden Country Diary!) and the good news is yes! The sad news is I thought that I had two of those books but realized that I actually only have one which I haven’t been able to cut into yet! But I will if I need to. Every time I start to order a second one, I see the word reproduction and I don’t order but when I just checked my copy it’s also the reproduction and it’s lovely! I realized that if I don’t want to break the bank, I need the reproduction one. One says “Acceptable condition or for $7 more there’s one in good condition which is the condition that I usually get in books but I was wondering if you ever tried one that only says acceptable? I am pinching pennies right now and if the acceptable is good enough, I may just go for it. I’m sorry that you had a cold, I could hear it in your voice right away but I’m guessing that two years later you have recovered! I haven’t seen you on yt for a while though, so I do hope that you are well! 💕💕💕
Love it. Wish I could get Edith books in the states cheaper. I have 3 one is so dark and grungy one is too new and lastly the 3 rd is just right so don’t want to cut it up. Should have bought more when they were $6.00. Instead of 25-30$.
Just considering buying my second one and wondering if you know what one in “acceptable” condition would be like? Were your bad ones something like that? Thank you for sharing!!👍😊
I finally found a Edith Holden book cheap enough for me to cut up! Usually I only see them around $50 and at that price I'm certainly not going to cut it up! But for only $15, I feel perfectly fine about using it in journals.
That's fabulous Katrina 😁 Yes i find January the best month for bargains. I set out with good intentions of not spending then i see bargains and can't resist😊🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns i have that book to 😊👍, so i think i give it a try 🥰,, and see now you have a new video up, but its bedtime here 😅🥴,, over 12 in the night .... So nighty night sleep well hugs and goodnight 😘💖🙋♀️❤️
This is a lovely idea. I am hoping you used colour photo copies of the images rather than cutting up the original book as the original book is a vintage collectable.
Most of the ones for sale now are reproductions ( but they seem great!) you would definitely not want to even pay for an original much less cut it…that’s not what we do as jj creators!

Great idea for using a large page by converting it to the smaller one! Well done! Janet
Works really well. I quite like it and it still looks like an Edith Holden page.
Thanks Veronica😊 You reminded me I haven't done anything Edith in a while 🤔😁🤗💜

It's crazy isn't it. They're back under£10 here after shooting right up.
The first one I bought was £2.80/$3.79 😊🤗💜

It's a gorgeous book and hard to cut into, but better to have it in a form which will be appreciated more😁💜
That’s brilliant!! Love it, such a good idea for all those pages that are too big. Thank you 💕!!
Thanks mitzie😊🤗💜

You're welcome Vanessa and Thank you💜🤗☺️
Beautiful!
If I hadn't have seen you taking the images out I would never have guessed it. Really great idea 😁
Thanks Tania💜 This is how we used to collage at brownies, but not as neat😂😁💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns how did I not know or think to do this and I went to brownies
@@Tattytreasure maybe you were still busy making a woggle 😏

not quite sure why you would cut up a page merely to reassemble it slightly differently..with not much else.....
The page was too large, I love the collaged look and because I could. Also I enjoyed it😊💜
Because it didn’t fit the book that she was making if left the other way… and she liked it simple. She is a great artist!😊
