This is practically my hair. I am trying to braid my own hair, but that back nape area is my nemesis. The back pieces are short like that, but there rest of my hair is past shoulder length (no cuts or anything, my nape is just always like that). I am not in the same state nor coast as you. I had my hair done once it was great, everyone gave me compliments, but I just can't swing $700 to have it done again because I'm jobless and searching for a job. I had it done by African aunties, even when they did it, they slipped out quite a bit in the nape. One of them actually slipped pretty much all the way out, too. Any tips or suggestions? I really want the braids back, even tried rubber band, but it sticks out like a sore thumb. Do I just just deal with the rubber band and just hide it with the rest of the braids?
Beautiful 😍 my hair is very fine like hers and that's my fear of too many spaces with box braids looking like I'm bald when I'm not my hair is similar to a baby's there are not many hairstyles that I can wear can't use glue never in my hair and multiple spaces are very likely 🙃
