My favourite man of all time. ..I followed Soul brothers at my young age in swaziland. .I did not miss any of their perfomanes in mbabane...I remember when I heard from the radio about Zakes Mchunu s passing I cried as if he was one of my family member that's how I was closed to the as oul brothers...yhoo I myself can write a book about this band...at one stage we went with them to the palace to perfom for king Sobhuza 11...there is not even one album that I don't have...even my girls like soul brothers through me....yhoo their music is so good for the Soul. ...which they come more to Durban.....the last time I watched them was in swaziland their first show after the late Mbuso David Masondo yhoo what a vocalist a dancer yhoo...we thank a God for giving us such a band...their are of so much inspiration to most of us...God Bless you Mtimandze.
This is one of South African living legends that I look up to as my dad was one of the biggest fans of Mbaqanda and I'm still living up to the music legacy even though I'm a 2000 but even at my res they know that I'm 1000% Soul brothers and it's message to the world and as a hidden vocalist who is doing choral that one day wishes to work with him at some points and maybe unleash my composing skills I would like to work with uBaba uNgwenya someday, in terms of the the podcast I would like to mention that it gives an insight and history of the journey of music that he has traveled along the years but for some of us he is the last definition of the the foundation and pillar of uMbaqanga and for which I wish I would like that you could conduct an interview that will give us a the whole story about the group and it's journey from the horses mouth as he is still alive.
Moses Ngwenya is the reason that the Soul Brothers still exists today. There are multiple times when David Masondo wanted to pull away, go solo or wanted to own the Soul Brothers as his. Moses Ngwenya together with other music legends helped keep the band united until today
Thisha Nzuza was an artist "built" by Soul Brothers. The Soul Brothers are/were not a band but an Institution. Its a pity the young are not exposed to their character building music
