Garrett was my childhood as-well! I remember seeing Ripple Dot Zero for the first time and playing it. My mind kind of stuck with ripple dot zero and the Artist, Simon Stålenhag. I was like 11 or 12 when I was first introduced with RDZ and Simon Stålenhag. Stålenhag became more like an artistic Idol for me, and ever since then I've tried pursuing that style of art. I'm 18 now and still no-where near Stålenhags level but i am going to a vocational college for graphic design to pursue my dream as an illustrator.
And we never got it😭

Listening to your lost in all thoughts alone cover randomly pop up on shuffle reminded me to check the channel again honestly. I'm not ashamed to say I came around for the Not Scary videos wayyy back in the day but I ultimately stayed after watching a few RTTTA videos and finding your music channel. I was there when you were giving Beat Demon for free (and I still go back and listen to the album every now and again)
Seeing your name pop up in circles I never thought I'd see them in was incredibly heartwarming. I'm sad to see this channel go, but knowing you're still gonna be around posting and making ABSOLUTE BANGERS makes me happy. Can't wait for the RTTTA finale. You've been a pretty huge inspiration for me.

I found you through the not scaries, but I decided to dig in deeper for what you had to offer and holy shit I was amazed by the quality of content you were putting out for the number of subscribers you had back then. The music was amazing (You dropped your pokemon GO remix when that meme was going off and i was like "Yeah, if someone can make this shit sound good, it's probably this guy") and the RTTTA's had way too much effort and awesomeness put into them than they had any right to be. It's sad that all this amazing content and you didn't get the recognition you deserved, but I'm happy that at least I was able to experience it.
It's not everyday that we get chances to say goodbye to our favorite youtubers who put love into their content like this, but I just want to say Thank you Garrett, it has been an honor following your work. I'll follow your progress through your music channel!

I remember watching the first Not Scary video around the time it came out but it wasn't until I watched the RTTTA on Waverace Blue Storm that really got me hooked your work. I remember after watching that video finding GCWaves and binging all of the other RTTTAs and loved it all. Even though i and many other folks were aware of this from a year-and-a-half ago on Twitter, it still feels a little bittersweet now that it's official to everyone.

As I've probably mentioned before, I discovered your channel and music basically around the time of Settle It In Smash (which blew me away when I first heard it) and the Not Scary videos around that time as well. And then since early 2015 I've watched and enjoyed the old-and-new RTTTA episodes on numerous occasions, the GCWaves vlogs, joined as many streams as I can _(I'm in the UK, so unfortunately some EST streams are like... midnight, for me)_ and of course absolutely *LOVED* your music. I'd probably even say your channel and style is one of my inspirations, and I'm now actually working on a remix which is sorta like your remixing style (a sample-flip beat sorta thing)
Anyway this comment is getting too long so I'll just say - *thank you for keeping this channel going for so long. I notice and love the awesome details you've always added into your work, and I'm definitely tuning in to the final RTTTA, and any other big projects you work on in the future.*

i found your content 6-7 years ago and vividly remember getting immediately attached to RTTTA and watching at LEAST one new episode every night i ate dinner. i was an eighth grader back then, and now i'm in my second year of college. it's utterly absurd that time has actually passed to this extent, especially considering i remember thinking how slow time felt back then, and it's insane to think that this RTTTA "arc" (?) is finally getting closure. but it's also really great to hear! i'm super glad to see that you're fully committed to moving on and not letting yourself be beholden to content that you're not as passionate about. can't wait to see the final RTTTA, and i can't wait to see what you do next in life after you've left this channel. good luck, man, and thanks for the memories.

I loved this series and this channel a lot, even the stream highlights despite not being a big live stream guy as well as some of the dumb one offs like that Garrett Plays thing that you probably look back at with nothing but cringe. I remember being pleasantly surprised seeing your name at the end of a Scott the Woz episode and I'm glad you got a huge second win with your real passion. And yeah, I am thankful for Not Scary because that is at least how I actually found your other work in the first place. Man I remember watching the first not scary video all the way back in 2015 and loving it. I watched the best of the sonic trilogy RTTTA which led to you being the first person I every subscribed to on this site. I found about the twitch channel later down the line and once again the first person I ever subbed to on twitch. I and many others are already in pure love with your songs so I know that many more will come.
