Aavishkaar and Nari Gunjun updates

Sandhya Gupta is the founder of Aavishkaar - A Center for Science, Maths, Arts and Technology, one of our two India Global Grant initiatives. The center aims to nurture curiosity, creativity and critical thinking through science and math education. The program aims to create thinking classrooms and active learning through models, experiments, experiences and projects. Aavishkaar strives to make quality education accessible to all irrespective of social or economic background. Sandhya’s programs have once again this year been granted a District Global Grant distributing The Rotary Foundation grant dollars through our the help of our club.
Sandhya is an electrical engineer, a math enthusiast and a women's education advocate. She has a PhD in Electrical Engineering (Semiconductor) from Iowa State University (Iowa, USA) with several publications and patents. She has been an academic achiever, with many awards. She also has a Master’s in Public Affairs from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota.
