I grew up there. Town is a shit hole from what it used to be. I grew up in the house toward the end you called big (made of Thurber brick…look it up). I bought it from my parents, but sold it cause the townspeople are terrible. My dad still owns the car wash. Anyways, don’t be fooled by dried up towns. Not like the movies portraying towns to be a nice place to live. I was on the ‘99 state football team. So many stories I could tell.
That's crazy, my grandpa was Robert Rexroat. I did not grow up out there but I would always visit for the family reunion and the holidays. So many pictures and memories out there. Still visit some times just not as much.
I always got bad vibes from other people while out there.
Darrell Rexroat was a friend of my grandfather’s and distant cousin. From those people that came from Kentucky in the 1880’s.
I know very little about Gordon except it’s the land of my maternal ancestors.
And anybody descended from John Rexroat and Eliza Paul is related to me!
