I'm so glad you finally made a video about bacon!!! I've been wanting to ask you something! I tried to make bacon recently, and wanted to add maple flavor to it. Well, I coated them in real maple syrup, and all I ended up with was this extra crunchy horrible crusty stuff all over the place. Any tips? I really lake plain old heavy pepper, maple bacon. So any tips would be appreciated!!!

I'm confused. Why add butter? Plenty of fat renders out of the bacon. In fact there is almost always some left over.
