  • Tara Brach discusses the importance of mindfulness and self-compassion in our current environment and workplace while discussing her most recent book, "Radical Compassion: Learning to Love Yourself and Your World".
With over 40 years experience as a Mindfulness Meditation teacher, Tara Brach provides a step-by-step introduction to the benefits of mindfulness and self-compassion in reducing stress, increasing productivity, creativity, communication skills, and overall health and wellbeing. A self-described type-A personality in recovery herself, Tara calls out the elephant in the room: that in a busy, problem solving, professional environment there is no time for slowing down and self-compassion. She goes on to show that it's in fact exactly in an environment like this, and in our current time of a global pandemic, work from home stresses, and personal life challenges that we need to remember self-compassion and mindfulness. Tara will walk us through a key concept of her book, R.A.I.N.: how to recognize emotions, allow them, investigate if they are true, and nurture ourselves in times of need.

I have tried but the sound of her 'S' and the whistle keeps getting into my head. I'd need a course for that alone
