It's often the case for 787.
They usually do derated take off on 787.
Sometimes I'd hear it on 777 too, but not as often as 787.

737-800 F is generally run down compared to any other UAL 737. 737-700 or MAX 9 are best. 737-900 is middle of the pack.

don't agree trading being co-pilot on 787 for 320 captain is an upgrade. at least for days off, lines flown, but certainly for pay.

Agreed - it's a tough choice (or possibly not?). I went up to the cockpit afterwards and gave him some friendly grief.
