    I think we bought our bikes right about the same time. I put that same shock on, and I think it’s awesome. I’ve enjoyed your videos!

      Thanks for watching! I appreciate the positive feedback!
      Low quality production over here haha but lots of fun
      And the aggressor was definitely a great buy for me, I really like the bike

    Haha Nice Fall ! I fell a few days ago on my Aggressor Pro flying down a muddy snowy hill testing out the new ixf crank Im 50 so i got to be careful cant miss work. LOL now my next upgrade is knee pads luckily i didnt pull my acl but slammed the bone on the side of my knee put a dent in the chain waiting for a replacement and looking to see how you like this new fork you installed. I havent done too many upgrades yet. I threw on some Schwalbe tires and the ixf crank and tuned the bike up. I like the acolyte upgrade ill do that when my drivetrain starts getting wrecked. Good job on your vids!I Was that the silver or Gold Judy btw. Thanks

      Thanks for watching! Yeah, even in my 30’s the slams suck haha
      It is the silver Judy, and so far that fork is really great! 70 or so miles in on it and it’s been awesome, love the adjustability. Way comfier and quieter ride than the xt spring fork they come with - the only real reason I swapped over to the acolyte was because of the terrible chattering on the stock stuff haha
      I have a set of rims to install and hydraulic brakes and I’m pretty much done with the bike haha

    That jig is pretty awesome at first I was thinking he's just going to hack that off 😅

      Believe me I thought about grabbing the sawzall 😂 doesn’t have to be perfect haha but that jig is cheap haha so I did it by the book haha

      @motodad311 back in my BMX days I actually used a tubing cutter for copper plumbing.... Pretty sure my dad wasn't thrilled the next time he had to use 🤟😆

      Haha for sure haha, the jig and hacksaw definitely isn’t perfect but it worked well enough haha
      I remember cutting an S&M pitchfork down to size freehand with a hacksaw haha

    Is this the 120mm travel version, and could you possibly provide a link where you got it I’m having trouble finding them in stock? Thanks in advance!!

      Thanks for watching!
      It is the 120mm travel version
      I bought it on Amazon, it’s out of stock now unfortunately
      I just watched Amazon daily for a few weeks and waited until they got one in stock
      That’s probably going to be your best bet to get it at a good price

      Microshift acolyte
      If you’re interested in any of the upgrades I’ve done, I have a playlist on my channel for the aggressor and it has all the upgrades and ride videos
      Thanks for watching!

    You should upgrade the brakes next. get the Shimano mt420, tektro orion or the Shimano deore level 4 piston brakes. You should also get 180mm rotors front and rear and get the caliper spacers to run 180mm rotors. I got some Shimano mt401 2 piston calipers on 180mm rotors and with tektro sintered metal pads and i felt like there was more to be desired. I have a gt aggressor pro as well.

    Do you recommend IXF cranks for hybrid (gravel light trails and road) ?

    • @motodad311
      @motodad311  6 місяців тому

      I highly reccomend the ixf cranks for any bike, they are at a great price point and I have just under 600 miles on mine and they’ve been great!
      Thanks for watching!

    Hey man, whats your plan for a hydraulic brake setup? I'm a little torn on which way to go.

    • @motodad311
      @motodad311  7 місяців тому +2

      Hey man, thanks for watching!
      I plan to go with shimano MT series, not sure if I’m going 2100, 4100 or 6100 haha
      Honestly, if I would have never ridden a bike with hydraulic brakes I would never have had an issue with my cable brakes haha

    • @randon8814

      Yeah man same. I feel like it stops pretty good. But I bought my fiancé a bike off Craigslist that has hydraulic brakes, so now I'm like I guess I have to get hydraulic too haha. But love your videos just finished installing most of the same stuff you have and yours and it's crazy how much better it rides. 👍
