I watch seasons completely out of order, so I only recently watched this season, and I already knew that Boston Rob had married a girl from Survivor named Amber (though I didn't know who she was). After the alliance line, in a confessional, Rob says that she allied with Amber because she was beautiful, and in my head I was like "ugh, another dumb romance," then I remembered that they were married.
Amber got a car, husband, one million dollars, and the title of sole survivor.

When SURVIVOR wasn't all about hidden immunity idols and special advantages - it was about strategy and out witting. I don't mind a couple of hidden immunity idols... but when it comes to 5 people having them at once, totally takes the fun out of what the game used to be.
now there is so much special advantage, hidden idols and twists that it's almost random who wins survivor.
And contestants had to work out clues to find immunity idols. Now they're all out searching trees and rocks from day 1.
imo, i think its for the better. Without the special advantages, survivor would just be so repetitive, the returning cast members would win every time. By including the twists, other people could get a chance to have 1 million dollars. Also some are kinda fun, and some flop. Survivor would flop in the long run if it was repetitive. Atleast thats what i think.
Tommy showed that it’s still possible without any advantages and that was really impressive 😁 My favorite is still hero’s vs. villains they had kind of the perfect mix between idols and outwitting.

Rob actually said in a recent interview that the girls haven’t actually seen this season. Makes sense,
Jenna Lewis's reaction to Rob and Amber's relationship is so damn wholesome. Look at her in this clip, she is absolutely beaming while Amber is talking about it and her reactions during the season were exactly the same. She recognizes true love, and it's absolutely heartwarming to see one of the actual contestants competing against them, shipping them as hard as any regular person.

Hell, even Rob was crying for Amber because she believed what some of the people out there was saying. I hope watching Michele showed her that she is worthy. Michele got a lot of the same hate but proved everyone wrong getting to the final 3 in Winners at War.

Old school is way better. You actually had to build relationships that could last you through the game. Now, you can blindside everyone and have a hidden immunity idol to save you. Who agrees with me though that Amber and Parvati are the queens of survivor? And if you say Sandra is, then your a joke

She's really sweet and all but honestly Rob made all the moves and she was basically his goat. She only won because the jury was very bitter towards Rob's backstabbing gameplay.
Naive much, so you only believe the edited version as seen on TV or didn't watch the entire season. She was absolutely pivotal in all decisions and deserved the win. She earned it! One of the best of the best. Definitely an underrated player.

@@nathanbl7961 sis is kinda right tho, they were simply a couple and both played their part. one moment at tribal where the otherwise dominant Rob asks "what do u think Amber" and Jeff immediately notices how he's asking her like his wife - that's imo very telling! Rob is the power guy and Amber is the silent one, but they are a very dynamic duo together.

I think Rob set it up for her to win. It was his grand gesture to win her heart. But something bothered me about this season. She kissed Rupert on the lips. After she came back from watching a movie with Rob. When Rob tried to get a kiss. She immediately backed off. She kissed him right in front of Rob. She then kissed his hand in front of Rob. As Rupert was leaving Tribunal. I mean thats a little bit to much affection for 2 friends. Then what else gets me is Rupert knows Rob was courting her. But he picks her anyway to go on a massage and to spend the night. On top of that they get massaged up and go to dinner drinking wine. They get dolled up for Rupert. Makes me think about if anything else happened that night. Because when you think about it. She didn't start getting affectionate with Rupert until thery came back from their massage. One more thing i couldn't understand. When Shii ann brought up blindsiding Rupert or Rob. Amber immediately starts talking dirt on Rob. Saying I can lie to him and he will beleive me. Even her own friend Jenna Lewis thought she was playing Rob. The person that was with you majority of the time on All-stars. Obviously something happened to make her think that.
Well at the end of the day, she has continued to stay true to her alliance with rob for the past 16 yrs

I need to be clear- I like Amber and love her and Rob as a couple, but even now, 16 years later, I can't help but feel Rob was the rightful winner of All Stars, and was cheated out of that win. Amber did not deserve to win, she did nothing of any strategic importance. She simply rode his coattails to the end.
Exactly. The only reason she won was because the Jury was bitter and Rob didn’t have the heart to campaign against her.
That is why she deserves it. She got into Robs Heart, built such a strong bond and he would not play against her for the million. Think about that for a second, Rob, one of most devious players in the history of the game will not play against her in final tribal. He didn’t even try throwing her under the bus. She deserves credit for this. It was love yes, but she didn’t screw up her utr strategy. Not the most dominant or the most strategic, but a underrated and strong social game made her a proper winner of survivor. She deserves it in all stars and rob did too. But she won because she managed the jury better. A lesson rob did not master until his fourth try.

Amber doesn’t deserve to even be in the category of winners. She won cuz Rob looked out for her with Lex and protected her throughout, He’ll do the same in 40. Which is great ultimately for them since they share the same household, but Rob deserved this win.
I want to watch Allstars, and I already knew that Amber won and everything with Boston Rob, but it is a dick move for you to put her as the winner in the title of this video. People who havent seen Allstars yet are going to be spoiled just by scrolling past your video. Please take that out of the title and just call it "Best of Amber".

Amber's game was shown quite a bit, but it was like a polar opposite or Rob - it was way more subtle
and it also simply was less TV-friendly than Rob's bravado

Name ONE thing she did for herself that Boston Rob didn't do for her and also didn't fall under her "brilliant" strategy of flirting and falling in love with Rob. Yeah, some winner. At least Fabio and Bob, despite probably being the next two weakest winners after Amber, each were able to win important immunity challenges when they knew it counted, and were able to get themselves to the end while being targets, despite also having pretty poor games. Amber didn't do a fucking thing. The only reason she made it through the second swap was because Rob begged Lex to do so and Lex fucked up. That was Rob's move if anything. The jury didn't vote FOR Amber. They voted AGAINST Rob. Hence why the jury was full of the most bitter fucking players and people I've ever seen.
But do you realize that in itself is a strategy. How do you think Natalie White won Samoa? She sat back, and let the tough guy be a jerk to everyone while she didn’t make as many waves. It’s the same case with Amber here. Why would you put yourself out there and come across as this jerk who backstabbed everyone when you can maintain their respect to nab their jury votes in the end. Amber is a very underrated winner and it’s sad people like you don’t see it
@@rockstar2013100 Oh Natalie White is leagues beyond Amber. I agree with you in that sense. It was very clear that it was a part of Natalie's strategy, and it worked effectively. And she deserved the win! But with Amber, it was clear that it wasn't her strategy. It was way more just because she was "in wuv" Throughout the entire game, it was so depressingly obvious how she was not doing anything to progress herself in the game, without Rob being there for her. And many times, she showed just complete apathy and cluelessness to what was going on. She wasn't aware of anything that was happening from a gameplay perspective. That's the main difference between Amber and masterful under-the-radar winners like Danni, Sandra, and Natalie White. They were totally aware of what was going on. And hell, Natalie was still able to pull off what was, imo the best strategic move of Samoa with the Erik blindside. SEE!? People can still be under-the-radar with their strategy and social play, while still initiating and pulling off big moves. It was absolutely masterful. Sandra did the same thing with Coach in Heroes Vs. Villains. Amber didn't do that. I'm sorry, but as shown even in this video, there wasn't a single confessional or moment where Amber wasn't talking about Rob or how badly she misses Rob and wants to get back to him. There was no value that she offered to the season from a gameplay perspective. Worst winner ever. I rest my case.

Andrew Smith The “eyes of the people” doesn’t matter. It’s not about the people. It’s about the jury. Get to the end and get the jury votes. Amber did that, Rob did not.
