How to Customize the Moodle Welcome Message and Change Site Text

In this video, we will show you how to locate language strings in the Moodle LMS and then edit the language pack to change those strings. This will be especially useful if you want to customize the default welcome message with the system-generated new user password.
To find the string identifier for the text you want to change:
Go to Site administration - Development - Debugging. Select the 'Show origin of languages strings' box then save changes.
Once enabled, language string components and identifiers are displayed when ?strings=1 or &strings=1 is appended to the page URL.

Strings containing the text: A new account has been created for you
Or the actual string itself: newusernewpasswordtext
