Learned a lot from your videos. Boost union has na option for custom fonts, but I couldn't figure it out. I would be great if you had the time to make a video about it. Thanks.

I'll try to get to this soon. I've seen that feature and was curious about it myself. My guess is you probably need to upload the font file and set the font-family in CSS as well.

Thanks for the encouragement. I do try to release a video each week, though some weeks this is easier than others. Thanks also for subscribing. I hope my future videos prove useful for you.

@@Wise-Cat configuring the width and the background colours are essential elements, thanks for those videos. Now, I've come across your channel in my search for an inviting website. Fair enough for established institutions, but not being able to have a welcoming landing page with links to other pages such as ''about'' just makes people click right out. If you have any ideas to make a moodle site look more like a school's oficial site, it would be greatly apreciated. Hope it makes sense

Moove, Boost Union and LearnR among other themes have some pretty good features for improving the site-home. They offer stuff like image carousels and "marketing spots" that can make things much more appealing even before one logs in. It's definitely worth trying out a few themes and you'll probably find one that suits your needs.

"Home" and "Dashboard" are language strings, so you can change them using Language customisation. Go to Site admin > General > Language > Language customisation. Choose the language you wish to customise, search for the strings you wish to change and save.
Not a bad idea for a video, actually... Cheers!

Dear wise cat, thank you for a very interesting video! but unfortunately, the main problem of moodle is that more than half of the students study from phones while it is done as a desktop. people simply don’t have time to turn on the computer, it’s easier for them to do everything from their phone. but there is no design for the phone! we ask you to think about this. Thanks again for all the work you do.

Thanks for the comment, though I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Modern versions of Moodle (anything 4.x) have very good responsive design for mobile devices. No only that, but there even exists a Mobile App (both for Android AND iPhone) .
      download.moodle.org/mobile
The app even allows students to download courses and use them without an internet connection! I think you would be hard-pressed to find an LMS that offers a better experience on Mobile devices. The app may not be perfect, but there most certainly do exist options for phones.

If students don't have time to turn on their computers, they are doomed. If you're looking to create a free type of website and attract the masses, it can be the case, as people find it through links on social media on their phones. However people who have paid to, and need to learn, they had bettee find the time and a computer...I tell my students this from the start
