People who often argue that Dhoni got a champion team (Sehwag, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Zaheer) built by Dada to win WC2011 should see this video to realize Dhoni, too has followed on Dada's footsteps to produce champions (Kohli, Rohit, Dhawan, Ishant, Shami, Jadeja, Ashwin) who are all integral part of the current team. Even though the trophies are not won, we make it to the semi finals and finals of all major tournaments and win overseas often which is also a tough feet and one that deserves appreciation. Indian cricket has been fortunate to have captains that ensure team's future before retiring unlike most teams like SA, Sri lanka, WI, Pak. Pretty confident Virat too will be focusing on creating a stable core of KL Rahul, Pant, Hardik, Bumrah for future

There are some players who found their rhythm in IPL while some flourished in the Indian Team. Rohit has been the heart and soul of Mumbai Indians from past 7 years with 5 IPL titles under his belt while leading as a captain and hope to see him for a couple more. Sadly Virat couldn't win a single IPL trophy for RCB while leading as a captain but surely he would do so as a regular number 3 batsman. However from the International Cricket perspective Virat is in a different league as compared to Rohit.

It was not Kohli vs Rohit in the run up to 2011 World Cup. It was Yuvraj vs Rohit vs Raina vs Pathan. Yuvraj had fixed his spot with a half century in 2nd ODI vs SA, whereas Pathan made whopping contribution in three matches he played along with a century of 70 balls in last ODI. Rohit Sharma on the other hand failed miserably and he opened in the last ODI too.
Actually it was Pathan who had replaced Rohit Sharma in 2011 CWC. Kohli was fixed with his spot.

There are some great similarities between Saurav Ganguly and Virat Kohli. Both have been aggressive Captains, had revolutionary impact on attitude and physique on the team members, Both build Stronger teams, both show emotions on and off the ground, Both did wonders for their Teams as Captains, goes on winning spree, had some Morale breaking series Losses but had to face downfall and huge criticisms.
