Like other Australian Perth Mint coins, this coin ships from the mint in a nice capsule that is excellent for stacking. It contains 32.15 ounces of .999 fine silver. I've got the 10 oz. & it's a beautiful hunk! when they make bullion this big it should be called a medallion! 2011 Kookaburra coins of any weight are the best of all the Kookaburra coin designs & Pert Mint coins are good quality. Although it's a hefty one time cash payment it's a better price over spot & not as easy to counterfeit. It's also better to look at than a plain bar...proud to have in my collection.
hi do you feel that the 1 kilo coin is better or 32 1 oz i got a 1 kilo 1992 as you know i am thinking of buy a 2012 one regards takcare
I like these over the kilo bars because coins are a lot harder to make fakes of - and ive seen a few fake bars on the market... but I dont think ive seen a fake coin. Also - because of the design there is a collectible element. Really good buy for those who want the ounces - and are getting their feet wet with collectibles in my opinion.

In my case, I'm a bullion investor looking for value.
I personally spend more for coins vs. bars. Others may disagree. My logic is that I *MAY* still own collectible value, in the event that silver spot tanked.

Well when silver goes through the roof it'll likely be better to have the 32 coins instead but if you plan to hold all long, the kilo coins are a little less over spot and look so impressive!

Yeah these in Kilo form really show the feather action but the half ouncers and up all look really good too!
