The textured look is due to that Husky gun. I had one and it does not like solvent based paints. It might be good for staining wood and waterbased paints. I recommend an Iwata AZ3 HTE2 spray gun. It’s not much more expensive than the Husky gun. Anyways, awesome channel. Restoring a ‘68 C10 and these videos are extremely helpful.

You should look into the new 12volt ac compressors they are amazing for ac can run it on frame and poke holes in the floor with a custom box it will keep the firewall nice. And not see it. It will allow a cool ride on hot summer days.
@lexrios5452 I'm using one one squarebody swap with cummins and also for my killer chiller type setup on my 1200hp mustang gt for the iat's to stay low. It also is great on small cars with 4 cylinders to help free up hp the whole kit is half of vintage air. This is just the compressor setup.
For the timelapse portions of your videos, do you shoot everything in real time and then speed it up in editing or do you use a timelapse option on your camera while you're filming it?
Yea, I bought the only rust encapsulator Eastwood sold in black, sized to gallon cans. One week after it came, they introduced the new improved, better than ever and cheaper their "Platinum" rust encapsulator! Man is was pissed! It would eat up the difference in cost to send it back for the platinum! Ain't bought anything from Eastwood since, and probably wont. Still sealed in can, have not used it. Retired ASE Master Tech/Mad!
What size did you get and how much would you recommend(I literally am doing a 71' that is same green, built the same wooden dolly, and replacing all "The Panels" as you) to do the cab?? How did the seam sealer turn out?? and is the "Pre" any better than acetone?? Thanks for all you do Doc!!
No reducer? Was it pre reduced? If it wasnt reduced you can't spray it with a 1.3-1.4 tip. You'd need at least a 1.8-2.0 tip. If you try to spray too thick a paint through too small a tip you get spatter and a texture like you wound up with.
It was humid and I didn’t use a thinner. Got tacky too quickly and never leveled off. Sprayed the core support on a cooler day with a reducer and it’s totally flat 🤷🏻♂️

It can be masked. It will just be a rattle can job for now. Time to start wiring.

A little of both. Sometimes it’s nice to just set it on time lapse and not think about the camera being on

What size wheel spacers are you using? Love the wheel and tire combo.
No spacers

Primer was a 1.8 tip. I don’t think I’m getting enough cfm thru my gun to get enough atomization
