jpop have vocal and performance groups, whereas vocalists are singers and performers are dancers. This concept was created within jpop way back in the early 90’s to give street dancers, and or professional dancers a chance to pursue their dreams in the japanese music industry. Jpop is literally the blueprint for kpop and asian pop in general, japan started and influenced the whole idol culture of what you see now in kpop, cpop, ppop, tpop etc…..
@@ALILOWORLD Yes, opposite of their counterpart kpop…. jpop dont have a main vocal, a main dancer, a main rapper, or the main visual. It’s either just a vocal, a performer, or a rapper, japanese members can also hold dual titles. For instance, in The Rampage’s case, they actually have 2 leaders (Zin and Lykia, they are both performers). Kazuma is a vocalist and a rapper, he’s actually a really great dancer as well. The Rampage actually have 3 krumpers, Makoto (performer), Kaisei (performer), and Kazuma himself. These 3 too sometimes perform with Rag Pound (they’re LDH’s krump dance group). Note that not all jpop groups are gonna be like that and have this concept. For instance, groups like AKB48, they have this concept where members get changed and moved around between groups. Each group have a center, a center is more than just a visual and they always stay in the center of formation. The center is a big responsibility and an honor, because center member’s role is essential in promoting the group’s image and attracting new fans. More than just the face of the group, this person typically takes on a leadership role, leading the other members during practices, performances, and various media appearances and interviews. Now, the center isn’t always gonna be the same person, thus why they hold annual event (call the Senbatsu Election). It’s a lot to take in, and i’m not gonna even try to dive into the details, but hopes this gives you a little idea of how this concept works.
broo krumping?!!! they really have it allll! & It was a bit to take in, but thank you for giving me all the context it will def help me out when diving more into jpop. I think their concepts and formations of groups are really interesting so im excited!
@ALILOWORLD You're wc! AKB48 has sister groups across asia... some are BNK48 (based in Bangkok, Thailand), MNL48 (based in Manila, Phillipines), SNH48 (based in Shanghai, China) etc... I noticed NCT on your channel. For better context, if you're familiar with how NCT works. SM was inspired and copied the concept idea from Yasushi Akimoto (the CEO behind AKB48). NCT's concept and graduation system is followed after AKB48. If you're interested in getting into more jpop groups, i'd gladly suggest some.
You mentioned who is staring at you in SummerRiot, and he is one of the three vocalists, Kazuma Kawamura. He has a wonderful voice and eyes, doesn't he?
When I first got into Exile Tribe, I started with Exile, which has 14 members, and I saw RMPG and I saw the 16 members and went "I am not learning 16 people." ... That lasted about a month 😂I bought the Exile Tribe 2021 concert Blu-ray and RMPG was the second set and I just - fell in love. They're so much fun to watch and the three vocalists makes them stand out among the Exile Tribe. They are so good at what they do. Can't Say Goodbye is one of my favorite songs and I was so excited when it won the vote to get a MV. I was expecting more of a summer romance sort of MV, but I really do love showcasing their bond. It's been nearly 10 years since the lineup was finalized, in September 2014, and they just passed 7 years since debut back in January. They've been through some shit together - there was so much stress between formation and finalized lineup, with everyone thinking people would get cut (since 16 is a lot and Exile Tribe had never done a 3 vocalist group before), and, of course, they were basically entirely teenagers at the time (Likiya, the oldest, was 23, turning 24 in November, then Zin was 20 and Riku turned 20 during that time period. Everyone was, like, 15 to 19), so they were under a lot of pressure. A number of them considered quitting, even after the lineup was finalized, because that training period was so tough, but they stuck it out and I'm so glad they did. RMPG is 16 members. Everyone in RMPG is between 25 and 33 - today, March 6th, is actually Hokuto's 27th birthday. And Shogo (one of the performers, the one with red and black hair on a bike) turns 27 in a few days, on March 11th. I describe Riku's (second singer in Can't Say Goodbye) hair as orange, since it was faded pink on top of blonde that resulted in the hair color 😅The pink was a good look, in my opinion, and I am so sad it missed all of the MVs filmed in 2023 😂 The wait for Summer Riot to come out was excruciating, because we started getting chunks of the audio from TikToks, but the full song didn't come out for, like, I wanna say over a month 😂I was so annoyed, I wanted to hear the full thing SO BAD, and it delivered so well. I also love the yukata version of the MV, where it's all shots of the members dancing together in their yukata. The one with the ponytail is most likely Ryu - he has the longest hair currently, and he's very tall. He's the tallest member, just over 6 feet tall. He was also the center performer in the Can't Say Goodbye triangle, where it started him dancing and then cascaded back (and they do those sorts of moves so much and they're always so much fun to watch!) (I am so sorry, I will stop leaving long, rambling comments on your videos, I apologize)
oh so do they hold concerts with like all the groups under exile tribe. that sounds like an experience if so. and 16 people were def a surprise, I'm more familiar with the singers so I def want to check out more of the performance members, and Ryu :)) noted
@@ALILOWORLDThey do hold Exile Tribe tours - they haven't done one in awhile, presumably because getting that many groups to be free at the same time is A Pain. They did one in 2014, so pre-RMPG - it was Exile, Exile the Second, Sandaime J Soul Brothers (JSB3) and Generations (GENE) at that time. Then there was the 2021 tour - Exile, JSB3, GENE, RMPG, Fantastics (FANTA) and Ballistik Boyz (BBZ). This was before Psychic Fever (PsyFe) officially debuted, though they were there as backup dancers. There's also something called Battle of Tokyo (BOT) - it's complicated, but essentially it's a sci-fi universe where every member of Jr.Exile has a counterpart and they're all in competing groups. Jr.Exile is GENE, RMPG, FANTA, BBZ and PsyFe, though PsyFe only officially joined Jr.Exile after they debuted in 2022, so the original BOT songs and MVs only included GENE, RMPG, FANTA and BBZ. I believe PsyFe did make an appearance at the 2019 BOT concert, but not in the same capacity. We didn't even get the names of their BOT characters until 2023. BOT does almost yearly concerts, with all of the groups - they did a concert in 2019, 2022 and 2023 - 2023 has not been released as a recording yet, but we have hope we'll eventually get it. The BOT concerts are really fun, because the Exile Tribe is so interconnected and BOT really showcases those relationships between the Jr.Exile groups.
