Next, how to get friend to play games
yess, i have many board games but no friends and family to play with 🤷♂️
I play board games with my friends but they're not into thinking games like this. I really want to play

When I tried to figure out the game from watching people play it, I didn't quite get how the suggestion mechanic worked. Thanks for so clearly explaining it!
I already know this is too complicated to play with family, especially older people.
I don’t have a clue how to play clue
Nice rhyming
creative
Alexander Kang thanks
Really?
But first, how to get a friend
I was gifted Cludo for my 8th birthday but I never found anyone to play it with. To this day, I haven’t played it once!
Maybe you should try talking to some people
I play with myself, it’s kinda weird tho
Maybe play the mobile version app thingie?
Lol, I got this for my 9th b-day.
I brought this game without knowing it’s 3 player :/
i bought this game without knowing how to play it... I’m still confused
I guess you could say that you’re clueless

Same...I was carried away by the tv commercial
How are you confused? What do you need?
I used to play Clue on SNES, but I never truly knew how to play it. I just remember that Colonel Mustard would suspiciously win often. I felt like he was programmed that way. I'm going to go play it again now.
Also there’s some sneaky tricks players can use. If the player knows which weapon, suspect or room was implicated they can suggest weapons or suspects from their hand or from a room they have the card for. This way other players won’t get any new Informartion.
This is very helpful my parents were struggling but thanks to this video we can finally play
LOL! It's sad most people can't figure this game out.
Once people figure out what the 'object of the game is' then they can figure out how to play it.
At what point does Tim Curry come over? That is the most important element to me, personally. (In all seriousness love the videos. This was a childhood favorite. I remember building a house in The Sims modeled after the game.)
he was already at the mansion
♫ _I...am...your singing tel-e-gram..._ ♫
*BANG!*
I was incredibly disappointed to find there's no Yvette in the board game.
Tim Curry was so good in Clue the movie!
Communism is just a red herring.
I havent played this game in years thank you for reteaching me
Same I used to play clue as a kid but forgot now
It’s the 1985 version of among us!
I was thinking the same thing! I'm hoping that they will one day create a special Among Us edition of Clue.
I WAS LITERALLY SAYING THAT SAME THING!!!
sus
This is what I was thinking!!
The game’s actually been around since the 40s.
Great tutorial of my favourite game. The only change we make is to have the player accusingin the accused room. It seems too easy to be anywhere and still win..we feel the winner should be in the correct room.
This however does lead to some stalemates on the odd occasion with players deliberately calling players back but this only adds to the excitement.
That is a terrible rule
I thought the same, but realize when the game comes close to knowing enough to accuse, others also have an idea and having a die roll race to that room is too obvious to others and can rob someone of the real win which is being good (or lucky) at deduction.
@@12600Grey True. Good point. What we do is call everyone back especially the closest to that room and roll a dice to see who goes first. But yes someonemay steal before that happens youre right.
Once again a flawless video. 😎👍👍
Now I will admit that when I am asked to play this game I only ask for one exception, get rid of the two D6 and replace it with one D20.
But If you want a heavy murder mystery game I suggest "Awkward guest".
Keep up the good work your videos are awesome.
We had the version that came with the DVD and an invisible ink light that read the clues on the back of the card. It was cool to have the Inspector help you play the game. We still never really understood the rules though lol
I still don’t understand it 🤨? ! I am so lost
Thank you for makeing this, were setting the game up with your video ^_^ Merry Christmas!
I played this game yesterday and was completely lost. I was just pretending the entire time like I knew what was going on 🥴. Didn't help that the SuperBowl was on either...
This is the best how to for Cluedo. Thank you.
This game always scared be cause I always thought that somewhere the exact safe situation was happening
Question: Isn't it unfair that that when dealing the cards out at the beginning - some may get more than others? Doesn't that give them an advantage that they can now eliminate more suspects/weapons/rooms than others?
I read the rules, and it says that you can leave cards turn up for everyone to see depending on how many players are playing.
@@deb7674I thought the same thing, your way is definitely better
I enjoy playing this game, I just don't understand point of weapon figures in it ... is it only there so others can figure out what are you asking about or there is some bigger purpuse?
The figure weapons are there so u can choose any one, if we didn't have them, then we wouldn't know what weapons we had, also they are there so we can move them, that's why we scatter them in different rooms or else one room would be crammed
@@yaniz_1453
I think the question was what is the purpose of moving them from gameplay standpoint :) its pretty obvious from the sheet what weapons there are. I am new to the game but I think they are moved just so everyones knows what weapon was suggested. In a two player game they serve no purpose at least from my understanding.
Because the object of the game is to figure out who killed mr boddy, where he was killed and HOW. How can u say “mr green did it with the candlestick” when there is no candlestick in sight. It’s to verbally show the suggestion. Meaning if I’m Mrs Peacock and I make the suggestion of Mr green in the ball room with the candlestick I bring the candlestick and green in the ball room to say I think u did it here and with this weapon. It’s the same concept on why all 6 tokens need to be on the board even if fewer than 6 are playing. Suspects and suspected weapons need to be on the premises for help in solving the crime.
@@yaniz_1453 All the information is on the card. You don't need the figures to know what weapons there are just look on the card.
So it's basically among us but with cards
We purchased the clue board game. It has clue cards (action cards) and spy glass on dice. When do these come into play?
When a spy glass is rolled you pull a clue card. If you roll 2 spy glasses then you pull 2 clue cards.
that is called cluedo
@@ii_hollyroblox4904 only in the UK. It's called Clue: Master Detective here.
@@simonesammy-romany1239 You could also choose to not play it. And count the spy glass spaces as 1.
God will help you in your life. You will succeed in life.ay all good things happen to you. Thank you for this amazing video
That’s very sweet of you but why does it still feel like a hollow statement?
Uh smh
Thanks for doing it quickly
Question : if nobody said they had the card after a suggestion, how the accusation can be wrong?
Smyce P you have it or someone is lying
@@fractals. ooohh creepy
Sometimes people try to be the first to win by taking a risk and making an accusation before all the cards are shown, for example if they figured out a partial answer.
if they have 2 they can choose which one to show you
Mave you got all three lol
What is the point of moving the weapons pieces when you make a suggestion? I’ve never understood that. Also, what is the purpose of keeping track of which cards each individual player has? If you already know somebody has it, then it does it really matter who has it?
The purpose of keeping track of which cards the other players has is to help you find out what cards are in the envelope. Since there are numerous combinations of what could be in the envelope, it can get pretty difficult to narrow down the possibilities mentally.
Also, keeping track of who was which card can help you cross out possibilities using logic.
And about the weapons, I was thinking the same thing.
I remember when I was really young there was a feature in my game of clue that if you got a clock card 3 times you died and I was dumb enough to think that it meant I died in real life
"Look at the ceiling, it says gullible!"
@@toni929ann I was stupid young, I seriously didn't even know the premise of clue nor how to play.
@@KWCHope lol it's okay
Omg yeah! I remember whenever I got those clock cards I got chills from them they just scared me for some reason haha.
This guys a genius
Thank you for helping me I can't play with words ya'know
I never quite understood what's the point of moving around the weapons and players other than for flavor. Well the player's move is affected by their position, but the weapons have no contribution to the gameplay ,or am I mistaken?
Good job mate, nice explanation, very useful
Has anybody requested Mah-jong yet? I think that’d be great
There are several varieties of the game, so the key would be picking one and sticking with it. I'd probably suggest the Hong Kong variety since it's the simplest but still offers a good scope for skillful play.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! i really needed this. Was i the only one who used slower speed...
What is the magnifying glass on the dice for?
look at other ways to play the clue game, other youtubers explain what the magnifying glass is for
Write this (game and party clue board game) and search it, they explain it better.
When you roll a magnifying glass, you draw a card from a deck of cards and everyone follows the instructions.
It's basically the Chance and Community Chest cards of Clue.
This was so helpful thank you 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Thanks really helped me learn how to play this
Glad I could help!
So sick ! insane! thx ! p
Thank you for this!
I’m confused about the characters. How do we know which character to choose? Do we choose from our cards? Wouldn’t that make it easier to find the killer?
Your character is who you are closest to on the board. Notice in the beginning that he placed the different colored pieces along the board. If you are right by purple, then you’d be Prof. Plum
The objective is to find the cards in the case file (Question Mark Envelope). So it doesn’t matter which character you are.
excuse me guys! plzzzzz HELP when u make a suggestion and two people have it, do both show you or only one person can show you?!
Only one person can show you, i think
Only one person can. For example ur Miss Scarlet and u suggest “mr green with the wrench in the study.”
The player to ur left (colonel mustard) has a card to show u. The player to his left also has a card to show but since mustard showed u a card, ur turn is over. If mustard has two or all three cards to show u he does NOT say that he only says “I can disprove it” and selects one to show u and keeps his mouth shut on having the other two cards.
I was still being a dumb dumb buying the board game of clue then not knowing how to play it even tho there's a instructions but I dont even understand English-

My cluedo has no corresponding spot it has question mark everywhere
If they move my piece for a suggestion I go back to where I was before or I count my moves starting on the place the moved me to?
Thank you for that explanation at first I didn't know how to play clue until I saw your video. 😄

I’m in San Diego looking for fellow game players👋🏼 Any night’s a good night. Some days too.

Ok, I have the clue gameboard, I know how to play it, I just need a friend to play with 😂
thank you so much
anyone knows, what if one person has more than 1 card on hand that matches the ‘suggestion’ do you show all the cards that matches the ‘suggestion’ or just any 1 card?
You show just 1 of the cards
Finally i know how to play
whats with the multiple columns though ????
Lockdown brought me here cos I’m so board of PS4
What about Wadsworth or mr boddy or you know whatever his real name is?
Very helpful
One word is competing out the other ear I don’t understand
Helped me a lot. Thanks
I got the silver line edition
Same! It’s cool
"I still have no clue"
Can you give me a clue on how to find friends to play games
When u are using your note pad 📝 only use one vertical column per game 🎲 🎲
The other columns are used to mark who showed you which card. A genius tactic if I say so myself but indeed a waste of paper.
What is the point of the weapons figurines? Can't U just say which weapon u think was used?
Very good👍

What's the point of moving the weapons?
I never lose. Always win. Still unbeatable til thos day
A question real quick can anyone clarify if I'm in a corner room with a secret passage and another player blocks the door to move out can I use the said secret passage to escape the room
Yes, you could use the secret passage to escape the room.
I looked this up after reading the rules. It stated nowhere in the rules you had to move to the room you wanted to suggest (which makes no sense). Just said when making an accusation it didn't matter where you were at that time. So we were arguing over what the point of ever moving was after getting to your first room, aside form the new magnifying glass clue card mechanic.
It does though, it says to say "I suggest (any character) , in ( the room you are in), with (any weapon).
So any character, or weapon can be suggested, but it has to be the room you are in. But any accusation can be any room.
How do u play with 2 ppl?
Depends on the version.
So Mr. Body's piece is black. But isn't a player on the board. That's an absurd suggestion, (Unheard of).
He's the victim of this fictional murder. A dead person can investigate his own death...
What I'm confused about is when I reach in the room and its my turn to roll the dice again what spots do I move to? Do I follow the square formation on the board?
Yes
But how do you play if you know if you're the murderer?
@@affinicsfitri5859 you can't be the murderer. The murderer is enclosed in the envelope.
@@rle7622 yes. But i chose a character. Let's say Miss Peacock. As we played the game, Miss Peacock card wasn't there. Should I accuse myself?
@@affinicsfitri5859 from what I understand, the character you chose to move around as you roll the dice has nothing to do with the cards. If you chose peacock but don't have the card, maybe one of the other players might have it. And if nobody has it, then it's in the envelope.
Thank you fam!
What if two person is playing? do u give the cards to six players or two
Only to two players. Except that, you place four face down cards in four random rooms for players to secretly look at when they enter the room
What happens if the person to your left can’t disprove the suggestion???
Then it moves on to the person to his left, and so on, until someone can disprove your suggestion
I think this game took the slogan "Ladies first," seriously, since Miss Scarlett goes first.
Does someone know what he means by “the player left of the suggesting player will secretly show the suggesting player a card that proves the suggestion wrong”
Basically, it goes like this.
It's your turn and you enter the Study.
You suggest that it was Mustard with the Wrench in the Study.
After that, the person to your left secretly shows you a card: the Wrench card, showing that your suggestion is wrong.
why did you two xs on the notepad? im confused
Maybe he ruled out a suspect, room, or weapon out using logic.
I already know how to play this game
Do I have a choice not to show a card even if I have if someone has already shown it to the person who made suspicion
No, you don't have a choice. If you have a card mentioned in the suggestion and the people asked before you don't, then I am afraid you have to show it.
You must choose a card to show if the previous person (if any) can't disprove the turn player's assumption
Thank you, very useful but when we can use the secret passage? Once we entered the room or next turn? If at the next turn are we going to use the dice?
Next turn, and no, you don't use the dice.
I still have no clue?
My mom learned how to be a murder from the game CLUE. Do you use a sick dog to murder in CLUE?
Thanks
I don't understand how the three cards on the deck are unique. If the other ones are repeated and the ones on the deck are random, why wouldn't anyone have them??
I thought you find a paw print and put it in the handy dandy notebook
I don't understand. If nobody is able to disprove your suggestion, how is it possible that the suggestion turned to an accusation could still be wrong? Don't the players have all the rest of wrong cards? Doesn't that necessarily mean that no-disprove equals it's the correct-accusation?
I think I understand. You can still make an accusation after your suggestion is proven wrong, which I imagine people would like to do sometimes, and their accusation could very well be wrong in those cases.
On the other hand, when there is no disprove on your suggestion, you've basically won the game at that point, and making the same accusation is purely a formality at that point.
This point was rather unclear and confusing in the way it's presented in the video..
If nobody can disprove it, it means your suggestion AND those card you suggested are not in your hand that means that those cards are missing
If the mentioned above is true and you still get it wrong somehow that means other player could lying (which probably not the case) OR probably you somehow marked wrong way in the sheet (say you think the last row with XXXX could also X)
That can lead to wrong suggestion since you THINK that he/she may not have that card or marked wrongly, etc)
You should accuse and then if the guess is correct show the missing cards to prove the game is finished
Just realized how similar this game is to among us
Yeah, I'm still waiting for Hasbro to make an Among Us version of Clue
Gang gang
Thanks, still arguing with wife about being allowed to make an accusation on the same round you make a suggestion... showed her this... she still doesn't agree! HA!
This board
Game is now on roblox
Question: Foresay I am using the yellow game piece to move, but then someone accuses the yellow piece (Mustard) in the living room with the pistol, then what?
If you meant to say "suggest" instead of "accuse," then you have the option to either leave the room or make a suggestion of your own in that room.
Unless, you actually meant an accusation, then you don't do anything. Let that player look into the envelope and see if he or she got it right
I call this game "bourgeosie Among Us"
What if there is already a player's character in a room, Can I enter that room?
If yes, then what if there's a character in a room which is no one's (in case less than 6 players play), Can I enter that same room? 😅
Yes
Nothing in game says there are limits or you can't enter in same room as others
Shoutout if you are here because you are doing the Clue AI project in CSCI 331 ;)
why did he mark the paper with two x’s instead of oen?
Maybe he ruled out a suspect, room, or weapon out using logic.
