As a person who is horrifically toxic in chime but is low elo, i'd like to explain why i get the way i do over "just a game" because 1: seeing the build youre about to fight against feels like a giant middle finger, like an automatic "fuck you" no matter how nice the person is or how remorseful they are of making the build. Theyre telling me that they dont give a shit about anyone else's fun but theirs 2: the inability to do anything while fighting "one of those" builds or someone who just plays weird feels like a building frustration in your mind, like you were destined to die no matter what you did just because the "person" youre fighting against has more crutches than a disabled millipede 3: it feels like skill is completely irrelevant, it feels like every hardship that ive had to face in the game is completely invalidated by this person simply making 1 build that conforms to the meta. Countless depths trials, countless wipes, countless wins and countless losses, doesnt matter, they used flame and its as if none of that ever happened I dont think about it in detail every time it happens, but the subconscious cluster bomb of emotions that goes off in my head makes me want that person to hurt, so i try to come up with the most scathing insults i can in the short amount of time i have while getting gripped

I dont have my own pc i just go to computer shops and their internet aint that good plus I live in the Philippines closest servers are singapore where i average at 120-130 ping in chime and 150-200 in overworld So...... Its not exactly skill issue right??

Chime is just who has the best build and who is carried the hardest.
I played since deepwoken dropped. Ive played against almost every person and play style, and I basically never die in an over world 1v1. Whenever someone ganks me in the overworld I’ll most likely 4-5 bar them. However, I was at fairly low elo. It’s mainly due to all the people in chime and ranked who create cheesy ass builds to cheese chime, instead of making a fun, and interesting built. I tested this theory, by using a cheesy ass scrapsinger, and surge path reinforced armor build, and I went from 900 elo, to 1680 in 3-4 days. Chime of conflict isn’t particularly skill based when your fighting one of these cheese builds. So don’t be down on your own skill, just accept that you have to make a cheesy ass gay build if you want to grind chime of conflict.
As a person with 900 elo, I can confidently say that devs worked good at coding me to take vile combos and not vent
