Those dharavi people are really stubborn and self centred. Many great people donated their farms and plots for the betterment of India, can't they just let govt. Develop it and govt. Is even developing for them only. And the whole of India knows about this project why Adani would scam out of it.

@@MrigankSingh-w5obuilt by the british? What is wrong with you? Did the roads and buildings pop out from the thin air? Just because a few british buildings exist, doesn't mean the entire credit goes to them. Remember, they looted and left after leaving everything in chaos.

@ Anuj - These videos are spectacular rather breathtakingly beautiful ❤ Maybe the only thing that needs to be changed are the internal roads. The authorities might wanna develop a master plan that envisages construction 🏗️ 🦺 🚧 of a grid like road network with (horizontal) Streets and (vertical) Avenues on the lines of the island of Manhattan in New York City, NY, United States 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Think 💭 🤔 about it. This would be a game changer for the city of Mumbai even if they start with Downtown Mumbai and Central Mumbai at least initially. I fully understand that this would entail expenditure to the tune of Billions of U.S. Dollars 💵 at current prices and the hassles that come with displacement and rehabilitation. But future generations would love it 😍
So, unlike New Delhi and Greater Noida which have a sub-tropical humid climate with moderate rains (700 mm), Mumbai experiences a Tropical Monsoon and a Tropical Savannah Climate. Additionally, Mumbai is situated on a peninsula rather an island 🏝️ 🏝️ As a result Mumbai receives very heavy rainfall to the tune of 3000 mm every year which is an outlier even by global standards (Think New York City 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 and London 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 which receive much less liquid precipitation). In conjunction with heavy traffic this puts enormous pressure on the roads and bridges damaging them beyond repair. But the authorities have started doing an excellent job of creating cement and concrete roads (upto 800 kms) that can withstand pressures of heat, humidity, rains and traffic. And we can then look forward to an excellent road network within the city of Mumbai. Hope this clarifies your query -
@@rushilshah7149yeah, the reasons you pointed out are true.. Biggest reason is scarcity of land in Mumbai and with increasing population, road network was not upgraded.. Also the metro connectivity has been in nascent stage , need to increase it manifold like Delhi... Delhi has edge due to availability of land to expand in noida, ghaziabad and gurugram which have somewhat released pressure from Delhi

25 million people in Mumbai metro area produce just $150 billion in GDP. This is pretty low. Mumbai needs to become at least a $500 billion GDP city before the world can take it seriously. Mumbai metro area needs to be growing at a rapid pace but it is not.
Nothing annoys me more than how Indian drivers don't know how to drive within their lanes and drive in the middle of the white line lane dividers, like I always see this, that brown Maruti Suzuki with the DD license plate was so freaking annoying at 9:40. Kudos to you for following the laws and being patient by only honking at him, I would have screamed at that driver. Love the drive in Mumbai, you can clearly see how rapidly it is developing like the rest of India ! Just have to start developing the mindset of Indian drivers now.
This city has lost its charm from what it was 15-20 years ago Too many people Even more stray dogs Expensive cars that don’t belong to these streets at all too many taxis that don’t know where to park Not enough parking Huge disparity between rich and the poor Filthy during the day Everyone wants an iPhone that they can’t own but don’t want get an ass It’s pretty sure but has a huge scope of improvement that nobody wants to address not even the residents To say the metro or subway will fix it is not correct And I haven’t even started with rest of Mumbai
