I just got these retractable straps for my kayak trailer, and LOVE them! 👍😎❤️
Thanks for the update. Your original review is the reason I bought these straps a year ago. I love ‘em.
Nice! Glad they are working out for you!
Just added four of these to our Chilton 7x12 aluminum trailer to haul our new Yamaha RMax 4. Absolutely love them for first usage, I’ll update again a few weeks down the road but as of now these are awesome! Drive on strapped down with ramp up in less than 3 minutes. Steve…
Yeah I went and picked up my UTV at the dealer and there where 4 other trucks and trailers picking up units. I was the first one to leave loaded and in the truck. Lol
Thank you for sharing
I live in N.E. Ohio also i keep mine covered up when not in use. Had them 2 years so far still working.
Nice!
Good to see you back, looks liked you moved to a new location, hope everything is ok. Did you sell the boat. RV, and all the other toys and starting fresh ? I’ll be watching. All the best, cheers
Thanks! Yes we moved to a new place and got rid of some toys but we will be getting some new ones in the future. Lol
Where did you purchase those from? Please comment back thank you
I like how those ratchet straps work but living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan I was concerned about the salt as the roads are salted pretty heavy up here. I was just curious if you tried using penetrating on your old straps to see if that got them to work correctly and retract. Todd from da U.P. of Michigan.
I didn't use any penetrating spray on the straps but I probably could of made them last longer if I keep them sprayed down with wd40.
I just saw your review of when they were new. Maybe the S hook on each end would be best as many folks keep their trailers outside
Yes I agree. My trailer is outside now most of the time. Thanks for watching!
Those are really convenient. By chance did you contact the manufacturer or was there anything in the documentation about storage or maintenance? In general, I'm wondering if there is a recommended maximum service life for the strap on any of tie downs, permanently mounted or not.
No I didn't check but I would definitely keep them lubricated to last longer.
Do you leave your sxs in neutral? And how does the ratchet straps hold up to the weather
I leave it in neutral and if you maintain the straps with wd40 they will last awhile.
What length trailer is that?
It is a 6.5 X 12 ft. trailer.
What size is that trailer
6.5 x 12 trailer
What’s new these days guys hope all is good
Hi Lakey! It's good to hear from you. We are doing good and hope all is well with you. We have a new unit on order and hopefully it will be in soon. Stick around you might like this one. Lol
Mine are still great from 2020. I have the ones that are hidden in the trailer floor. When not in use, nothing sticks up for me to trip on and fall.
I can't use my left hand from a stroke. I can hook them up and be secured in less than a minute or unhook the same. Very easy to use for my situation.
