  • Hello! Thanks for watching my video :)
This is a vlog of me making some lures! This is my very early stage of learning how to make lures so please watch it for fun.... no judgement please :) Not so a great idea to do a lure swim test on a very windy day but I couldn't wait!
Hope you enjoyed the video :)

I think when it comes to the weights, you should add slightly more led towards the tail of the lure, always make sure you test the sealed blank with the sinker, prior to installing the weights, make sure to use the split rings and hooks, your boyfriend will intend to use on the finished lure, aim for lure standing at around 45° angle towards the surface, allow little extra buoyancy for the paint and multiple epoxy coats 😉 also diving poppers are fine to be so wide bodied, for the stick bait is better to make them more narrow, like round profile or even slightly oblique vertically 😉 I hope this few tips will help you when you will have opportunity to make the lures again

Hello SJC! Yes, that’s what I do! I’ve made about 3,783,729,732 prototypes with different weights, locations, hooks, fish floating angles, fish shapes-everything you could think of. Just to find the swim that I like..hehe The video only shows a little bit of the process and the very early stages of when I was getting into lure making 🤪 It’s a bit sad that I don’t make them anymore 😮‍💨 Thank you for the tips and share some more please 😁!! 👍🏼 eg. tips for how to apply abalone to the fish?? 🤔

Just checked out your channel and you know what? When I was learning about making lures, I watched so many of your videos! Woaaah, and now you’ve commented on my (very basic) video 🙈 I love your lures!

Great stick baits. Try putting a little more weight in the tail ends. Will make a big difference in the action. Im heading back to NZ later this year. Cant wait to get the rod out and throw a few sticks for the kingi's

    The lures look great!
Your video title says "Lure-Making" and your description says "Making Some Lures" but the only part of the build you show is painting. Please show all aspects of lure creation so we can learn too. 😃
Test on a windy day is real world testing. We can still see top water lures in action. A calm day is best for underwater lures, or an underwater camera.
    Thanks for the video!

@@matui6983 Hello there :), I don't offer custom lures; instead, I could do custom paint jobs. Prototyping and testing for a single custom lure involve a lot of work and I can't offer doing this work for you unfortunately. Happy to offer custom paint jobs, which are purely decorative.. :) Thanks for your comment!

@@Soooyunpark Okey dokey. Well I have a group of handmade poppers and divers that only need painting. All the testing has been done on them already. I could send one of each to you for painting. I dont know what you use as a clear coat over the paint but I can coat them in KBS clear to protect the paint unless you use that or sumthing similar or better.
