In about 1977, my Father owned a pickup truck that was almost identical to this -- the same shade of green on the body and the extra sidewise facing seats in the cab. The biggest difference was the decal on the sides; his had signs for his business. ETA: The metallic blue colour looks great too.
What an amazing job. Really impressed with the detail. The colour really does pop. Shame you could not match the stickers and text on the car. Still a fantastic job.
I just bought a Nylint dump truck with a spring loaded lift activated by a small handle. The cabin is a single person cabin I will start disassembly soon, but I need at last 2 preferably 4 good wheels/tires Any suggestion on where to go to find them ? Thanks
Claudio I usually find spares on e-bay or facebook - there are many items for parts - I am looking forward to seeing that one -- please share when ready and best of luck!
Hi - that is very likely - some true collectors are keeping these toys as authentic as possible. I have appreciation for that as well but love to restore things, it is just a matter of perception:)
@@DANYMITERESTORATION it’s just a shame they don’t make toys with metal and quality like that anymore. Nice to see you saving it and giving it life again.
What was the tool you used to reattach a the bumpers and bed? Just bought a little Nylint 1976 C10 and wanna try to restore it. It’ll be my 1st restoration

Good job on the basic repairs! But the blue is not my favorite. I would have liked the green better.

@@LonghornWorkshop I can not agree with you more! These toys are so well made and will last number of lifetimes for kids to play with them.
That truck would get stuck in the mud bcause it doesn't have any tread on the tires,I'd find some tires with tread on them & put them on instead
Ha you are so right - that car would slide thru mud for sure!
