Fun fact: When I was in high school over 15 years ago, we watched the King of Kong documentary over two class periods. With the remaining time in the second class period, my teacher went on a rant about Billy Mitchell, and how he met him once and Billy was a total jerk to him.
That was my introduction to the Billy Mitchell scandals.
My teacher was (probably still is) super salty about Billy being a jerk to him, and takes two class periods every year (I spoke to underclassmen who took his class the following year and he did it again, I can only assume he's still doing it to this day) to rant about it.
In case anyone wants to know what class he taught, it was Social Studies.

The fact that lawyers can drag their feet and get rewarded for it by the trial being pushed back time and again is criminal in itself. My sister in law was killed in a hit and run 4 months ago, and the trial keeps being pushed further and further back for the guilty party, because his lawyers keep waiting until the day before, and then asking for access to some new police report, which buys them another 2 weeks each time they do it. They know full well what they're doing and it's disgusting that our court system here in NZ permits this sort of abuse.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know what its like to lose someone close to you in a car accident. If this is an established pattern with the defense you might want to see if your lawyer can ask for some kind of relief from the judge there. and see if you can get emotional damages, because the amount of stress and undue charges they've put on you and your family is egregious.
My best friends aunt was diagnosed with late stage cancer in 2022. we discovered the tumor was shown in a previous scan and her doctor juaty dismissed it as bening without any tests.
Of course they sued for malpractice and other side has been delaying the court date for 18 months using the same tactic. We even have several witnessees saying those bastards are trying to push the court date till she succumbs to cancer.
Modern law is a joke.

It's a lawyer's duty to represnt their client to the best of their ability. That means that they have to fight to protect guilty liars with all their might, if that's who their client is. Billy's lawyers are doing their best to get a desirable outcome despite their client being horrible. If Karl were Billy's lawyer, he would be legally bound to represent Billy to the best of his ability. That would mean protecting and defending the liar, rather than exposing and mocking.

A healthy response to getting called out as a cheater is to not disprove their claim but to sue and slander your challengers.

Normally I would get tired hearing about the same lawsuit over and over and over again, but the difference here is that Billy is a genuinely bad person, and is causing a lot of innocent people a lot of extreme stress and financial issues, so anything I hear about this absolute scumbag losing his lawsuits makes me happy because I know that Karl and everyone else against Billy is working on preventing this from happening more in the future, and making sure Billy pays for everything he's done to people.

This video is kind of boring though, since everything that Billy is doing this time is pretty much normal in the US Justice system. You try every tactic and hope that one of them sticks. Had to go through the whole legal system a few years ago. Won't go into details but me and my family were 100% in the right but we still had to go through literal years of fighting the system to get anything done. The lawyers on the other side said that they were ready to take us all to court. My family and I were ready to go and agreed only for them to move it to a later date. This happened for two and a half years until they ultimately settled out of court as they knew there was no way they would ever win the case. Glad to see you're still going strong in this thing, we're all behind you Karl! :)

My mother is going through a lengthy battle right now. She divorced her ex-husband three years ago and he he has decided to drag my mother through hell with him. On top of the threats, fake documents, false information... He literally embarassed himself by bringing litigated documents in front of the court. He has tried everything in his power to use the court as a weapon against her and I cannot believe how BS this whole situation is.

@@liverpoolarmwrsetling The settlement was enough to cover our expenses for all the legal fees and most of the medical bills. We technically broke even but there were still other things that we had to pay for out of our own pockets.

This is a common tactic when people with money know they can't win in court, they'll delay as long as possible in hopes that the person they're going after gives up and settles. This trial is getting so much buildup I wouldn’t be surprised if Billy Mitchell tries to pull a “pinball call” in the courtroom and beat the record on a machine in front of the judge.
He can get his old record now because he's had years of practice, but at the time he couldn't without cheating so it's irrelevent if he can now.

@@YOEL_44 Problem is he has gotten those scores live numerpus times since becasue he's practiced for years. Him being able to get the scores now is irrevent to the case because the case becasue it's about whether he cheated back then.

Considering Billy is stalking Karl to some degree, I won’t be surprised if he became a supporter in a poor attempt to try to gain inside info.
The Signal vs Email thing might actually be an issue since that could be seen as trying to avoid discovery... though it would probably take a better lawyer to argue that.
But yeah, when you are already involved in a case and there is a reasonable chance of discovery taking place, using self destructing methods of communication can annoy judges since it means you are deliberately destroying things you should be turning over.

Honestly the more Billy drags his heels, the worse the wound will be when he has to pay back all those legal fees he's making you and Twin galaxy pay. He truly messed up this time by suing two different cases that won't back down until a trial is done.

The fact that he uses lawsuits to financially bully people, and that this is even possible, is a massive indictment against the American legal system. You don't need to have a good case against someone in order to ruin them, you just need to have more money.

@@_peters6221not disagreeing, but to change this system is to change the law/government itself. Most normal citizens don’t have the energy to care about things that don’t directly affect them. The reason people care about things like slavery or civil rights is because it could directly affect you or someone you care about. Unaffected people are more likely to just stay neutral to these things. Shitty judicial systems aren’t something most people will experience outside of maybe a ticket or some small civil dispute. Since the issue feels so far from people, most people won’t be proactive in changing it. Yeah this is an issue with people not being motivated to improve their surroundings. Most people aren’t actively fighting for the ban or stricter regulation on guns except during the times tragedies happen. The dedicated people will stay with the movement even during the times of no incident, but your average citizen just throws that energy away after some time from the incident. Legal change is much harder to imagine changing without widespread support.

When Billy says he does not have the photos, he pauses for a couple of seconds and it totally looks like he's trying to form logic in his head that justifies a lie. i.e. the photos are at his lawyer's office currently, so *he* doesn't have them. He even follows up "No" with "I don't" so he could later twist this as not being a lie because he didn't immediately possess the photos.
Yeah he was defiently cooking something in his head with that pause, “i have them? Yes, i have them at this precise moment? No, thus, im not lying”
I'm loving this Billy Mitchell series. Karl, I'm wondering, for the sake of the viewers, would you consider putting all of the Billy Mitchell videos into a single playlist? It would make it a lot easier to follow from the beginning.
I've heard situations where lawyers will milk a client and drag out cases they know are going nowhere because they want to suck as much money out of their client as they can. So Billy has to keep paying them for these bogus claims and they just drag it on and on and continue to take his money. Wouldn't be surprised if they are doing that to him here.

This was never about going to trial and all about draining money from you, Twin Galaxies, and anybody that was mean to him. I'd suggest talking to your lawyer and the preceeding judge about issuing some sort of "either the trial starts at X date, or the case is dismissed," order.

Only now did I realize Billy Mitchell was listed in his Legends supporters for Patreon. It's safe to assume it's not really him, but then the thought occurred to me that, because some content producers release content early to patreon subs, Billy Mitchell would actually be among the names in the list. There was something delicious about the idea of Billy giving Karl money in order to make sure he didn't miss any updates on himself.
You know, until I read this comment I assumed it wasn't him, but he might actually be this narcissistic.
