Casino is a 1995 American epic crime film directed by Martin Scorsese. The film is based on the 1995 nonfiction book Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas by Nicholas Pileggi, who also co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Scorsese. It stars Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci, and James Woods. The film marks the eighth collaboration between director Scorsese and De Niro.

I'm convinced at this point: Casino is my favorite Scorsese movie. Well acted, well written, well directed, well shot, well costumed. Just well.
Love this scene. What an artist Scorsese is.
For anyone who likes the soundtrack, it's called "Theme for Camille" by Georges Delerue.
I have the soundtrack on CD. One of my favourites.
I didn't ever properly appreciate this scene until now.
And all this time I always thought this scene was improvised.
What a beautiful scene.
I never understood how the car makes squeal sounds in the sand as he speeds away.
The car is a made man and the sand isn’t. There’s nothing to be done.

En 1950, si vous étiez victime d'une tentative d'agression, la probabilité que le criminel soit vraiment un homosexuel était de 5 %.
Pas aussi bien en 1975 alors que cette probabilité était d'environ 15 %... et pas la même qu'en 1998 lorsque l'incidence de la tentative d'être tenté par un homosexuel dans un face à face était de 50 %...
Que dire de la décennie 2010 où l'on serait très proche des 100% de chances...
...mais jetons un regard depuis bien au-delà : à l'époque du Haut Empire romain la chance de rencontrer un gay était de 0,00..? Ils avaient des Centuriones inébranlables et il n'y avait pas de Ius Gayus.
