Did the cruise provide shuttles into the nearest town / was public transport into town easy to do on your own since you didn’t do any excursions? We’re thinking of doing just one excursion to Amalfi coast from Salerno and winging the rest as you did.
Yes, at three of the ports, they had shuttle buses to the center of town. One of them, there was a fee but we just walked instead. The train system in Italy is fairly easy to figure out so we did that a couple of times too. I have a blog about it too at thevanstopshere.com
I did last May , we enjoyed so much my husband and my self , it was our first one , took several excursions with the ship and of a third party , loved Italy, the shows at cruise were great,
@@lwalker4465 we took the bus shuttle to Bologna train station. We had an Airbnb overnight and then to the airport the next day. The airport was a disaster. I wouldn’t recommend flying out of there.
We didn’t do any excursions. We just wing it. So our recommendations probably wouldn’t be what most people recommend. We did a lot of walking in the cities and just enjoyed the scenery and architecture.

Was the ship refurbished in any way? Heard she went into dry dock in March 2024
I’ll be cruising next May and can’t decide what airport to fly into as ship port is in Ravenna. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
@@kathleenabell5933 we flew out of Bologna. That airport was a nightmare for flying out of. Maybe it’s better to fly into.
Do you have any shots of the cabin? Have they been updated at all do you know? (Supposed to have been a big while shop refresh in April 24)

I was interested in this Cruise but terminating in Ravenna was a concern. How did you fly out of there.

was the seafood and the meat complimentary? or are they charged extra?
@@milu086 everything we ate was complimentary including the meat and seafood. We ate all our meals at the Buffet. The food was amazing.
